Penelitian ini berjudul "Smartphone dalam persepektif filsafat teknologi Don Ihde". Smartphone merupakan salah satu kebutuhan primer manusia masa kini. Sebagian dari aktivitas manusia modern sudah tersinkronisasi dengan smartphone sehingga smartphone memiliki dampak yang besar dalam peradaban manusia modern. Don Ihde sebagai salah satu tokoh filsafat teknologi memiliki pandangan berkaitan dengan dampak teknologi yang ada. Pemikiran Don Ihde bisa dikatakan bercorak pragmatisme dalam konteks memandang teknologi. Don Ihde menyebut pemikirannya sebagai fenomenologi instrumental. Objek material dalam penelitian ini adalah smartphone. Objek formal dalam penelitian ini dalah filsafat teknologi Don Ihde. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kajian kepustakaan yang bersumber dari buku, jurnal, karya ilmiah dan website resmi yang berkaitan dengan judul penelitian. Metode yang digunakan dalam skripsi ini adalah refleksi filosofis. Analisis penelitian ini menggunakan unsur deskripsi, heuristik, interpretasi dan refleksi. Hasil yang dicapai dalam penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut: (1) Smartphone adalah salah satu instrument manusia modern di bidang telekomunikasi untuk mempermudah aktivitas karena beberapa hal telah tersinkronisasi ke dalam smartphone. (2) Filsafat Teknologi Don Ihde adalah fenomenologi instrumental sebagaimana Don Ihde memandang bahwa alat memiliki sifat untuk mengubah persepsi manusia terhadap dunia. (3) Smartphone menurut filsafat teknologi Don Ihde memiliki banyak dampak dalam kehidupan manusia, seperti: sistem transportasi, sistem keuangan, cara mendapatkan pengetahuan dan lainnya. smartphone mampu mengubah persepsi manusia terhadap dunia, alat memiliki sifat tidak netral ketika digunakan sehingga dapat mengubah persepsi penggunanya. The title of this research is "Smartphone in Don Ihde philosophy of technology ". Smartphones are one of the primary human needs today, part of modern human activities are already synchronized with smartphones so the smartphone has a great impact in modern human civilization. Don Ihde as one of the prominent figures of technology has a view regarding the impact of existing technology. Don Ihde's thinking can be regarded as pragmatism in the context of looking at the technology. Don Ihde calls his thinking as instrumental phenomenology. Material object in this research is smartphone. The formal object of this research is the Don Ihde philosophy of technology. This study uses literature review method that comes from books, journals, scientific papers and official website related to the title of research. The method used in this thesis is philosophical reflection. The analysis of this research uses description, heuristic, interpretation and reflection. The results of this reaseach are as follows: (1) The meaning of smartphone is one of the modern human instruments in telecommunications to easily the activity because some things have been synchronized into the smartphone. (2) Don Ihde's Philosophy of Technology is an instrumental phenomenology in which Don Ihde sees that tools have the property to transform human allegiance to the world. (3) Smartphones according to the Don Ihde philosophy of technology has many impacts in human life, the smartphone is able to change the perception of man to the world.
