ABSTRACT Currently, the government increasingly focused in developing the field of creative economy. One of the creative industries are growing in Indonesia is based industry with the "curated" or commonly referred as market-curation (curated market). Curated Market popular in Indonesia began with the success of its events held by Brightspot Market in 2009. The number of similar events make Curated Market growing trend and become loved by the public, especially young people. This event has long-term potential continues to grow. Additionally, Curated Market themselves in general can also continue to be developed considering in many untapped market potential by curated market. Surely mature communication management needed to realize such a development. This study is describes the purpose of communication management through Curated Market especially Brighspot Market in encouraging the development of creative industries in Indonesia. Using qualitative research methods, the techniques of data collection directly collect from the field. These results indicate that Curated Market can develop local brands. Brigspot market very support to local brands to compete in the business world to be a positive industry. The success of Brightspot Market can also inspire others events, so that helped them to develop the creative industries in a well competition. This is because Brightspot Market is considered to be a platform for the implementation of curated market in Indonesia. The success of Brightspot Market can’t be released by the communication management of Brightspot Market. The results showed that the elements in communication management has done well and can run effectively, so that the expected goals achieved. The conclusion of this study is the developing of creative industry through curated market is influenced by Brightspot Market management communication it self.
