ABSTRACT This study served to develop the tourist area Jungwok Beach Gunungkidul which has great potential to be developed to identify and analyze the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats in order to develop as a tourist destination Jungwok new and formulate policies, strategies, and programs. However, the high potential is still poorly supported by several key aspects in the development of tourism when Jungwok Beach has great potential to be used as a tourist destination. The conclusion is Jungwok Beach Development as a tourist destination cannot be implemented optimally due to various problems faced related to internal and external conditions that occur around Jungwok Beach neighborhood. That requires the attention of the parties concerned to the Jungwok Coastal development can work well and can increase the number of tourists visiting Jungwok Beach.
