2012 | Skripsi | Manajemen dan Kebijakan Publik (dh. Ilmu Administrasi Negara)ABSTRACT Wonogiri, a regency in Central of Java, has a sizeable potential for tourism. DTW Sedang Asri Waduk Gajah Mungkur is one of the chief supports of this regency but has few activities to promote tourism. Moreover, RIPPDA, used as a reference for development plans, is still lacking in terms of plans to promote tourism. One concern is that competition in the tourism industry is very strong; while this tourism resort may promote certain types of tourism, other destinations have already been promoted in this same way. Ofcourse, to carry out promotional activities, this tourism resort must adjust to many internal and external factors. Against this background, the problem studied in this research is: How are the appropriate strategies to be applied to Disbudparpora to promote DTW Sendang Asri WGM? To address these issues, strategies must be formulated to: promote human resources development in the field of tourism, optimize cooperation with travel partners, optimize the use of the internet as a media for the promotion of tourism, and create a regional tourism forum. Implementation of these strategies needs to be balanced with other forms of support from various parties including governmental organizations, private companies, and the community.
