PROBLEMATIKA STABILITAS POLITIK DI IRAK PASCA SADDAM HUSSEIN

The forming of new government after Saddam Hussein in reality has not delivered this state into a better condition than before. It was after the establishment of a democratic government in Iraq that an unprecedented sectarian conflict started to emerge. Violence in the form of suicide bombings, kidnapping and torture became day-to-day events and thus, have become proof of instability within Iraq. The lack of legitimacy has made it difficult for the new Iraqi government to execute their power in sustaining stability and managing all kinds of conflicts. This is also related to the intervention of other states such as the United States that has been involved starting from the formation of the new government up to decision making. This thesis will analyze further the causes of instability within Iraq.
