ABSTRACT This research aims to understand the justice value in inheritance system of Kajang Le‟leng Ilalang Embaya and Kajang Le‟leng Ipantarang Embaya people. This research is done in Bulukamba district, in Tanah Toa village, Kajang sub-district to be precise, by collecting data from 10 informants directly. The collecting data is done by observation, depth interview, and document analysis. Interactive – qualitative analysis by choosing the data, presenting the data, and then making conclusion is used for data analysis. The results of this research are: first, Kajang Le‟lang dalam(IlalangEmbaya) people use collective inheritance system that is told in Pasang.Where as Kajang Le‟leng Luar (IpantarangEmbaya) use Individual inheritance system which is according to discussion of the family members. Second, Kajang Le‟leng Ilalang Embaya people value the justice that it is not a must for getting same amount. That is according to Pasang Ri Kajang as life – value which will lead the justice and prosperity for the people. On the other hand, the people in Kajang Le‟leng Luar who have opened-way of thinking value the justice more democratic. Justice is valued by rational consideration; by considering the position, rights, and obligation of all inheritor are same. Therefore, it can be concluded that Kajang Le‟leng people value justice according to Pasang Ri Kajang, inheritance divide is not always same, while Kajang Le‟leng Luar value the justice that it has to be same.
