INTISARI Terjemahan Light Novel Koe no Katachi Bab 1 karya Miu Kawasaki Shielda Ayu Clarasati Deviani Tugas akhir ini adalah terjemahan Bab 1, halaman 31-48 pada light novel Koe no Katachi karya Miu Kawasaki. Pada Bab 1, terdapat Sub Bab 3 dan Sub Bab 4. Sub bab 3 : Shikata no Nai Koto, bercerita tentang keadaan Shooko Nishimiya yang tidak bisa mendengar, dan hal ini harus dimaklumi oleh teman-teman Shooko. Bab 4 : Shooko Ijiri bercerita tentang Shooko yang mulai diintimidasi oleh Shooya. Light Novel ini dipilih karena jalan cerita serta konfliknya yang menarik. Selain itu, komik dan film dengan judul yang sama karya Yoshitoki Oima yang telah diterjemahkan ke dalam Bahasa Indonesia terkenal dikalangan remaja Indonesia. Hal ini menjadi tantangan serta motivasi untuk menerjemahkan Light Novel tersebut. Dalam penerjemahan terdapat beberapa kendala, diantaranya adalah, banyaknya onomatope, banyaknya kosakata baru yang belum pernah didengar, dan adanya beberapa idiom yang sulit dimengerti. Selain itu, kurangnya penguasaan tata bahasa menjadi masalah saat menerjemahkan kalimat majemuk. Kata kunci : Koe no Katachi, Miu Kawasaki, Shikata no Nai Koto, Shooko Ijiri

ABSTRACT The Translation of Koe no Katachi Light Novel Chapter 1 By Miu Kawasaki Shielda Ayu Clarasati Deviani This final paper is a translation of Chapter 1 (page 31-48) from Koe no Katachi light novel by Miu Kawasaki. In the Chapter 1, There�s Third Sub Chapter and Fourth Sub Chapter. The third sub chapter, Shikata no Nai Koto, talks about the situation in which Shooko Nishimiya cannot hear anything. While in the fourth sub chapter, Shouko Ijiri talks about Shooya who starts to bully Shooko. This light novel has been chosen due to the interesting storyline and interesting conflict. Furthermore, the movie and comics with the same title by Yoshitoki Oima have been translated into Bahasa Indonesia and got popularity among Indonesian teenagers. Hence, this became a challenge and motivation the to translate this light novel. In translating this light novel, there are some obstacles. For instance, there are a lot of onomatopoeias, some vocabulary which are never been heard before, and idioms that the meaning is difficult to be understood. In addition, the insufficient mastery of grammar is a problem when translating compound sentences. Keywords : Koe no Katachi, Miu Kawasaki, Shikata no Nai Koto, Shooko Ijiri
