PENGARUH LAMA PENCAHAYAAN DAN PENAMBAHAN DOLOMIT TERHADAP KARAKTERISTIK PERTUMBUHAN GENERATIF ALFALFA (Medicago sativa L.) FASE REGROWTH KEDUA

Penelitian dilakukan di rumah kaca Laboratorium Ilmu Hijauan Makanan Ternak dan Pastura, Fakultas Peternakan, Universitas Gadjah Mada. Alfalfa dari Canada ditanam pada polybag. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap Pola Faktorial, dengan perlakuan penambahan dolomit (D) 3 taraf yakni D0= 0 kg/m2, D1= 0,6 kg/m2, D2= 1,2 kg/m2. Penambahan pencahayaan (C) 3 taraf yakni C0= 0 jam, C1= 2 jam, C2 = 4 jam. Apabila terdapat pengaruh yang nyata dilanjutkan dengan uji LSD pada taraf 5%. Variabel yang diamati adalah waktu pertama berbunga, persentase tanaman berbunga, waktu pertama berpolong, persentase tanaman berpolong, jumlah polong, waktu polong masak, persentase tanaman berpolong masak, uji kemurnian benih, uji viabilitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa lama pencahayaan berpengaruh nyata terhadap waktu pertama berbunga, persentase tanaman berbunga, waktu pertama berpolong, persentase tanaman berpolong, jumlah polong, persentase tanaman berpolong masak. Penambahan dolomit berpengaruh nyata terhadap jumlah polong. Interaksi antar perlakuan penambahan pencahayaan dan penambahan dosis dolomit berpengaruh nyata terhadap persentase tanaman berpolong. Kemurnian benih adalah 61,63%, viabilitas benih 13,33%.
The study was conducted to know generative growth characteristic of alfalfa second regrowth with adding different level of dolomit and lighting. The experiment was conducted in greenhouse of Laboratory Forage and Pasture Science Faculty of Animal Sciences University of Gadjah Mada. Alfalfa from Canada planted in polybag. This study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) 3 x 3 factorial design with two factors treatments and four replications. The first factor was the levels of dolomite (D) with 3 treatment D0 = 0 kg/m2, D1 = 0,6 kg/m2, and D2 = 1,2 kg/m2. The second factor was adding lighting (C) with 3 treatments C0 = 0 hours, C1 = 2 hours, and C2 = 4 hours). The data were analyzed by analysis of variance, and if there was a significant effect followed by LSD at 5% level. The variables measured were the first time of flowering, percentage of flowering plants, first time of produces pods, percentage of plants with pods, number of pods, first time of ripe pods, percentage of plants with ripe pods, seed purity, seed viability. The results showed lenght of lighting significantly on the first time of flowering, percentage of flowering plants, first time of produces pods, percentage of plants with pods, number of pods, percentage of plants with ripe pods. Dolomite treatment significantly on the number of pods. The interaction between the treatments of dolomite and lighting significantly on the percentage of plants with pods. Seed purity was 61.63%, seed viability was 13,33%.
