2016 | Skripsi | S1 BIOLOGIMyrmecodia beccarii Hook., tumbuhan sarang semut yang banyak dijumpai di Papua dan dikenal sebagai bahan minuman herbal, memiliki modifikasi batang yang unik berupa umbi yang berongga. Maka dilakukan penelitian dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui struktur anatomis dan perkembangan umbi Myrmecodia beccarii Hook. Ada 4 tahapan metode kerja yaitu koleksi sampel, pembuatan preparat mikroskopis permanen, pengamatan dan koleksi data. Koleksi sampel Myrmecodiabeccarii Hook. diambil 5 fase berdasarkan diameter umbi, diperoleh dari area bakau di Desa Warbefondi Kabupaten Supiori, Papua. Pembuatan preparat menggunakan metode penyelubungan parafin. Pengamatan dilakukan dengan mikroskop cahaya (Nikon) dan pengambilan gambar menggunakan optilab. Data yang diperoleh berupa data kualitatif dan disajikan dalam bentuk gambar seri yaitu mengenai morfologi, anatomi dan perkembangan umbi Myrmecodia beccarii Hook. pada tiap fase. Jaringan penyusun umbi Myrmecodia beccarii Hook. dari luar ke dalam yaitu jaringan dermal (periderm & epidermis), jaringan pengangkut dan jaringan dasar ( korteks, stele, felogen (kambium gabus), felem (sel-sel gabus), kutil dan rongga). Perkembangan umbi Myrmecodia beccarii Hook. diawali dengan proses sisolisigen pada hipokotil.
Myrmecodia beccarii Hook. a spesies of ant-plants found in great quantities at Papua, its known as herbal drink, and has an unique stem modification as tuber with cavities. The aim of this study was to know about anatomical structure and development of Myrmecodia beccarii tuber. There were 4 stages of the methods: sampel collection of tubers ( was classified into 5 phases based on diameters, from mangrove area at Warbefondi Village, Supiori-Papua), microscopy slides preparation ( used paraffin embedding method), data observation (used light microscope (Nikon) & Opti Lab) and data collection (from microscope slide). The result of this research were the qualitative data and it is showed in series picturethat is triple of the morphological structure,anatomical structure and the development of Myrmecodia beccarii Hooks tuber. The tissue layers from outside to inside part of tuber Myrmcodia beccarii Hook. consisted of the dermal tissues (epidermis & periderm), the vascular bundles (both of first vascular and peripheral bundles) and the basic tissues (Corteks, stele, phellogen (cork cambium), felem (corks cells), warts and cavity). The process of sisolisigen on the cortex and stele at the hypocotyl ofMyrmecodia beccarii Hook. was the initiation of the development of tuber with cavity.
