Unsur-Unsur Intrinsik Cerpen "'Ariisun Li Ukhtii" dalam Antologi Cerpen Bi`ru al-Hirmaani Karya Ihsan 'Abdu al-Quddus: Analisis Struktural Robert Stanton

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis unsur-unsur intrinsik cerita pendek "'Ariisun Li Ukhtii" karya Ihsan 'Abdu al-Quddus dan keterkaitan antar unsur-unsur tersebut. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori struktural Robert Stanton, sedangkan metode yang digunakan adalah metode struktural. Unsur-unsur intrinsik karya sastra menurut Robert Stanton adalah tema, fakta cerita (karakter, latar, plot), serta sarana-sarana sastra (judul, sudut pandang, gaya dan nada, simbolisme, ironi). Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa tema cerpen ini adalah jodoh seseorang merupakan rahasia Tuhan yang tidak dapat diatur atau dipaksakan oleh manusia. Karakter utama cerpen ini adalah Mahmud, pemuda 29 tahun yang kesulitan menjodohkan adiknya, adapun karakter tambahannya adalah Zainab dan Fahmi. Latar tempat cerpen ini adalah rumah Mahmud dan bioskop, latar waktunya adalah siang dan malam di setiap hari selama lebih dari satu tahun, adapun latar sosialnya adalah sebuah keluarga dengan status sosial rendah yang hidup di perkotaan Mesir. Plot cerpen ini adalah plot progresif yang diawali dengan tahap penyituasian dan diakhiri dengan tahap penyelesaian. Judul cerpen ini mengacu pada tema cerpen dan juga tokoh utama. Sudut pandang cerpen ini adalah orang-pertama-utama. Gaya pada cerpen ini adalah gaya deskriptif dan memanjakan indra, sedangkan nadanya adalah nada romantis dan penuh perasaan. Simbolisme dalam cerpen ini berupa momen-momen simbolis yang merepresentasikan kuasa Tuhan atas penentuan jodoh seseorang. Ironi cerpen ini adalah ironi dramatis, yaitu kenyataan yang tidak sejalan dengan apa yang Mahmud bayangkan sebelumnya. Semua unsur tersebut berkaitan satu sama lain sehingga menghasilkan makna yang utuh.

This research aims to analyze the intrinsic elements of short story "'Ariisun Li Ukhtii" by Ihsan 'Abdu al-Quddus and interrelationship of these elements. The theory used in this research is the theory of structural by Robert Stanton, and the method used is structural methods. The intrinsic elements of literary works according to Robert Stanton are the theme, the fact (character, setting, and plot), and literary devices (title, points of view, style and tone, symbolism, and irony). This research concluded that the theme of this story is someone's soulmate is the God's secret that can't be regulated or enforced by humans. The central character of this story is Mahmud, 29-years-old youth that struggling to wed his sister, and it's peripheral characters are Zainab and Fahmi. The place-settings of this story are Mahmud's home and the cinema, it's time-settings are day and night on every day for over a year, and it's social-setting is a family of low social status that lives in Egyptian urban. The plot of this story is progressive plot that begins by situationing phase and ends by denouement phase. The story's title refers to it's theme and it's central character. The point of view in this story is the first-person-central. Style of this story is descriptive and elaborately style, whereas tone of story is romantic and soulful tone. Symbolism in this story are symbolic moments that represent the power of God in determining someone's mate. Irony in this story is a dramatic irony, shown by the fact that isn't match with what was imagined by Mahmud. All of these elements relate each other so that made an intact meaning.
