KONVERSI JEMAAT KRISTEN PROTESTAN MALUKU (GPM) KE GEREJA BETHEL INDONESIA (GBI) ROCK DI KOTA AMBON

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap penyebab masyarakat Ambon melakukan konversi dari aliran GPM ke GBI rock yang merupakan salah satu bentuk perubahan sosial. Kemudian dalam bahasan ini akan menunjukkan alasan masyarakat untuk pindah aliran dengan meggunakan beberapa indikator teori Coleman sebagai intrumen dalam melihat prilaku masyarakat Ambon. Lahirnya konversi dari aliran GPM ke GBI rock menjadi wujud dari fakta sosial, di mana banyak masyarakat yang memilih melakukan konversi dikarenakan atas faktor kekecewaan dan serta kesalah-pahaman antar sesama anggota gereja GPM. Selain itu, penyebab lain muncul atas prilaku aktor korporat gereja GPM yang selama ini dianggap pilih kasih dan lebih mementingkan masyarakat menengah ke atas dari pada masyarakat miskin, karenanya banyak masyarakat memutuskan keluar dari aliran GPM. Kemudian faktor lain muncul setelah melihat prilaku anggota GBI yang lebih mengutamakan rasa persaudaraan dan kebersamaan sehingga hal tersebut mampu membentuk sebuah norma baru bahwa ajaran gereja GBI rock lebih cocok dan sesuai terhadap kebutuhan masyarakat Ambon dari ada aliran GPM yang lebih dominan mengutamakan sikap ego dan status sosial dalam masyarakat. Kemudian dalam bahasan ini, seperti yang telah diungkapkan sebelumnya bahwa tesis ini akan menggunakan teori pilihan rasional Coleman dengan beberapa proses seperti prilaku kolektif, norma dan aktor korporat. Dari beberapa indikator Colemen akan digunakan sebagai alur dalam menjawab penyebab masyarakat Ambon melakukan konversi dari aliran GPM ke GBI rock. Dengan asusmsi bahwa banyaknya diskriminasi kelompok serta munculnya beberapa masalah dalam internal anggota gereja seperti meningkatnya beban masyarakat terhadap gereja, di mana banyak masyarakat di suruh untuk membayar dana sumbangan dan dana tahunan gereja sehingga membuat masyarakat mengalami kesulitan dalam proses pembayaran tersebut. Berbeda dengan aliran GBI rock yang lebih cair mengikuti keadaan masyarakat tanpa memaksakan kehendak terhadap anggotanya.

This study aims to reveal the cause of Ambon society to convert from GPM to GBI rock streams which is one form of social change. Later in this discussion will show the reason of Ambon society to conversion is by using some Coleman indicators theories as instruments to see attitudes Ambon society. The birth of the conversion from GPM to GBI rock streams becomes a social facts form, where many people are choosing to do the conversion due to the above factors as well as the disappointment and misunderstanding among members of GPM church. In addition, other causes for corporate actors behavior appear GPM church which is considered favoritism and more concerned with middle to high more than the poor societies, so many people decided to get out of GPM flow. Then other factors emerged after seeing the members behavior of GBI rock who prefer the sense of brotherhood and togetherness so that it is able to form a new norm that the church's teachings GBI rock more suitable and appropriate to the needs of Ambon people more than GPM stream which more dominant priority attitude ego and social status in society. Later in this discussion, its has been mentioned earlier that this thesis will use rational choice theory Coleman with several processes such as collective behavior, the norms and corporate actors. Coleman of some indicators will be used as a groove in addressing the cause of Ambon society do the conversion from GPM to GBI rock flows. With asusmsi that many groups discrimination and the emergence of some problems in the internal church members as increasing the burden on society of the church, where a lot of people in order to pay the annual fund donations to the church. So that makes people experience difficulties in the payment process. Unlike the GBI rock flow more fluid to follow the state of society without imposing the will of its members.
