PENGARUH EKSTRAK MEMBRAN KULIT TELUR (Anas sp.) KONSENTRASI 70% TERHADAP KONDISI LAPISAN SEL ODONTOBLAS PADA PULPA YANG MENGALAMI REVERSIBLE PULPITIS: Kajian In Vivo pada Sprague Dawley

Reversible pulpitis adalah inflamasi ringan pada pulpa yang disebabkan oleh karies, erosi atau prosedur operatif sehingga mengakibatkan hilangnya kontinuitas lapisan odontoblas. Ekstrak membran kulit telur mengandung glukosamin, kondroitin sulfat, dan asam hyaluronat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mempelajari pengaruh ekstrak membran kulit telur konsentrasi 70% terhadap kondisi lapisan odontoblas yang mengalami reversible pulpitis. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 45 ekor tikus Sprague Dawley betina berusia 3-4 bulan. Induksi reversible pulpitis dilakukan dengan preparasi kavitas. Kavitas dibuat dengan diamond round bur 0,8 mm pada daerah oklusal molar pertama atas. Tikus dibagi secara acak menjadi tiga kelompok: kelompok perlakuan, kelompok kontrol negatif, dan kelompok kontrol positif. Ekstrak membran kulit telur konsentrasi 70% diaplikasikan di kavitas molar tikus pada kelompok perlakuan, kalsium hidroksida pada kelompok kontrol positif, molar tikus pada kelompok kontrol negatif tidak diobati. Tikus dikorbankan pada hari ke-1, 3, 5, 7, dan 14 setelah perawatan. Rahang rahang atas diambil untuk pembuatan spesimen histologi dan diwarnai dengan Hematoxilin Eosin. Hasil analisis statistik menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan (p <0,05) kontinuitas lapisan odontoblas antara tiga kelompok di setiap periode pengamatan. Kesimpulannya, aplikasi ekstrak membran kuit telur konsentrasi 70% memperbaiki kontinuitas lapisan odontoblas.

Reversible pulpitis is a mild inflammatory of the pulp caused by caries, attrition or operative procedure resulting in discontinuity of the odontoblastic layer. Eggshell membrane extract contains glucosamine, chondroitin sulfate, and hyaluronic acid. The aim of this research was to study the effect of 70% eggshell membrane extract on the continuity of odontoblastic layer. The subject of this study were 45 of 3-4 months female Sprague dawley rats. Reversible pulpitis induced by cavity preparation. A cavity was made with 0,8 mm round diamond bur on the occlusal area of the upper first molar. The rats were randomly divided into three groups: treatment, negative control, and positive control groups. Seventy percent duck eggshell membrane extract was applied on the bottom of the cavity of the rats molar in the treatment group, while calcium hydroxide was applied on the bottom of the cavity of the rats molar in the positive control group. The rats molar in the negative control group were left untreated. The rats were sacrificed on day 1, 3, 5, 7 and 14 after the treatment. The maxillary jaws were processed for histological specimens and stained with Hematoxilin Eosin. Statistical analysis results showed a significant difference (p<0,05) in the continuity of odontoblastic layer among the three groups in each observation period. In conclusion, application of 70% eggshell membrane extract repair the continuity of odontoblastic layer.
