PENGARUH PENAMBAHAN MINYAK TERPENTIN TERHADAP KEBUTUHAN BAHAN BAKAR DAN UJI PRESTASI MESIN PADA SEPEDA MOTOR YAMAHA VEGA ZR 110 CC

Pada tahun 2013, harga minyak di Indonesia mengalami peningkatan. Banyak persaingan yang tidak sehat untuk memperkaya diri. Berdasarkan fakta tersebut, banyak sekali pedagang bensin eceran memasarkan bensin dengan campuran terpentin. Tidak terpikir oleh mereka tentang bahaya menggunakan bahan bakar dengan campuran terpentin. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh tambahan (terpentin) pada bahan bakar, terutama premium untuk kebutuhan bahan bakar dan tes prestasi motor (Torsi, Daya). Minyak terpentin merupakan minyak atsiri yang berasal dari getah pohon Pinus terpentin merupakan cairan yang mudah menguap. Di Indonesia jenis pohon Pinus penghasil minyak terpentin hampir seluruhnya berasal dari Pinus merkusi Jungh et de Vr. Pada penelitian ini bensin dicampur dengan minyak terpentin untuk mengetahui pengaruh yang terjadi terhadap kebutuhan bahan bakar dan uji prestasi motor (Torsi, Daya) apabila bensin tersebut dicampur bersamaan dengan minyak terpentin. Dari hasil pengujian diperoleh bahwa campuran bensin dengan minyak terpentin berpengaruh terhadap kinerja motor.

In 2013, the price of the fuel has increased a lot in Indonesia. So, many unfair competitions are going to have to enrich themselves. Based on that condition, there are many gasoline retail traders mix gasoline with turpentine. They do not think about the effect of mix gasoline with turpentine. The aim of the study is to find out the effect of the additional (turpentine) on fuel, especially premium to the needs of fuel and the motor’s achievement test (torque, power). Turpentine Oil is Atsiri oil which came from muccus of pine tree. Turpentine is the liquid which could vaporize easily. In Indonesia this kind of pine tree which producing turpentine oil almost came from Pine Merkusi Jungh et de Vr. In this research the gasoline mixed with turpentine oil for knowing how the reaction could happen for fuel requirement and motor’s achievement test (Torque, Power) if that gasoline mixing directly with turpentine oil. By the result researchment, mixing of gasoline with turpentine oil has effect toward motor’s peformance
