Studi evaluasi kinerja unit pengelolaan air buangan industri migas untuk mendukung fungsi lingkungan dilakukan di PT PERTAMINA UP IV Cilacap dan PT PERTAMINA UP VI Balongan. Pengolahan air buangan PT PERTAMINA UP IV Cilacap dilakukan secara fisika, kecuali air buangan paraxylene yang dilanjutkan pengolahan secara mikrobiologi sedangkan pengolahan air buangan PT PERTAMINA UP VI Balongan melalui tahapan pengolahan secara fisika, pengolahan secara mikrobiologi, pengolahan secara fisikokimia serta pengolahan secara mikrobiologi. Pengolahan air buangan yang dilakukan oleh PT PERTAMINA UP IV Cilacap dan PT PERTAMINA UP VI Balongan keduanya telah memenuhi persyaratan baku mutu walaupun metoda pengolahan yang digunakan oleh keduanya berbeda. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji kedua unit pengolahan air buangan tersebut. Kajian didasarkan atas data sekunder yang terdiri dari data pemantauan lingkungan bulanan, data kontrol kualitas air buangan harian, data desain alat dan peta pengambilan contoh. Untuk menguji kinerja alat digunakan uji hipotesa dengan data desain sebagai dasar penilaian. Adapun kualitas air buangan hasil pengolahan PT PERTAMINA UP IV Cilacap dan PT PERTAMINA UP VI Balongan dibandingkan dengan menggunakan uji hipotesa perbandingan dua mean dua sisi. Berdasarkan hasil kajian didapat bahwa, kualitas air buangan PT PERTAMINA UP IV Cilacap dan PT PERTAMINA UP VI Balongan tidak berbeda nyata. Perbedaan penggunaan metoda pengolahan disebabkan oleh perbedaan karaktarisik air buangan, yaitu tingginya kadar fenol dan kadar amoniak dalam air buangan PT PERTAMINA UP VI Balongan. Sedangkan kadar fenol dan kadar amoniak dalam air buangan PT PERTAMINA UP IV Cilacap rendah.

Evaluation of petroleum industries wastewater management performance to support environmental function study was done in PT PERTAMINA UP IV Cilacap and PT PERTAMINA UP VI Balongan. PT PERTAMINA UP IV Cilacap wastewater was treated by physical treatment, except paraxylene waste water. This waste water was treated by physical treatment and continued by microbiological treatment, while waste water of PT PERTAMINA UP VI Balongan was treated through step in physical treatment, microbiological treatment, physical chemistry treatment and the last by microbiological treatment, Waste water treatment were done by PT PERTAMINA UP IV Cilacap and PT PERTAMINA UP VI Balongan was the same quality, although the processing method used by this institutions were differ This research aim to study waste water treatment unit in both PT PERTAMINA UP IV Cilacap and PT PERTAMINA UP VI Balongan. The study based on secondary data consisted of monthly environmental monitoring data, daily waste water quality control data, desain of appliance data and sampling map data. To test performance of appliance used hypothesizing test, the desain data was used as base assessment. As for PT PERTAMINA UP IV Cilacap and PT PERTAMINA UP VI Balongan waste water treatment quality were compared by hypothesizing test of comparison two mean two sides. Base on study was obtained that, PT PERTAMINA UP IV Cilacap wastewater quality and PT PERTAMINA UP VI Balongan wastewater quality were not differ. Difference of processing method use based on the waste water characteristic, that was fenol and amonia concentration in PT PERTAMINA UP VI Balongan waste water were high. But not in PT PERTAMINA UP IV Cilacap waste water
