GAMBARAN KESEJAHTERAAN SUBJEKTIF PADA IBU DENGAN ANAK CEREBRAL PALSY YANG BERPRESTASI

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana gambaran kesejahteraan subjektif pada ibu dengan anak cerebral palsy yang berprestasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologis. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah tiga orang ibu yang memiliki anak cerebral palsy dengan karakteristik tingkat keparahan ringan hingga sedang menurut Sistem Klasifikasi Fungsi Motorik Kasar dan memiliki prestasi disuatu bidang tertentu. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan metode in-depth interview, kemudian dianalisis untuk memperoleh gambaran utuh mengenai fenomena kesejahteraan subjektif pada ibu dengan anak cerebral palsy yang berprestasi. Uji kredibilitas dilakukan dengan member checking. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa gambaran kesejahteraan subjektif pada ibu dengan anak cerebral palsy yang berprestasi terbentuk melalui penerimaan diri, optimisme, dan kepuasan hidup. Faktor yang mempengaruhi kesejahteraan subjektif pada ibu yaitu dukungan sosial dan nilai religiusitas. Penelitian ini penting untuk memotivasi ibu dengan anak cerebral palsy dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan subjektif dan memahami bagaimana ibu melewati tantangan-tantangan pengasuhan hingga anak cerebral palsy meraih prestasi.

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to determine the description of subjective well-being in mothers of high-achieving children with cerebral palsy. This study used qualitative methods with a phenomenological approach. The participants of this study were three mothers who had children with cerebral palsy with mild to moderate severity according to the Gross Motor Function Classification System and also had certain achievements in particular field. The data of this study were collected using in-depth interview method which was then analyzed to obtain a complete picture of the phenomenon of subjective well-being in mothers of children with cerebral palsy who have certain achievements. Member checking technique were used as testers of credibility. The results of this study indicated that description of subjective well-being in a mother of children with cerebral palsy is achieved through self-acceptance, optimism, and life satisfaction. Factors that influenced subjective well-being in mothers of high-achieving children with cerebral palsy were social support and religious values. This research is important to motivate mothers with cerebral palsy children to improve their subjective well-being and understand how mothers passed the parenting challenges until their children achieve their achievements.
