POLA MOBILITAS PENDUDUK PULAU-PULAU KECIL Studi Kasus: Mobilitas Penduduk Kepulauan Lease ke Kota Ambon

Penelitian tentang mobilitas penduduk pulau kecil sangat menarik untuk dilakukan. Hal ini karena pulau kecil memiliki karakteristik yang unik dan menarik. Karakteristik tersebut adalah seperti kehidupan masyarakatnya sangat syarat akan adat. Setiap sisi kehidupan di tunjukkan dengan simbol-simbol tertentu yang mengandung makna adat dan mengandung makna supranatural. Kehidupan masyarakatnya terbentuk dalam rasionalitas kosmologi yang diyakini oleh masyarakat. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kota Ambon dengan memfokuskan pada migran dari Kepulauan Lease. Mobilitas penduduk Kepulauan Lease memiliki angka mobilitas ke Kota Ambon cukup tinggi, sementara Kepulauan Lease memiliki sejarah yang cukup fenomenal. Kepulauan Lease merupakan salah satu daerah pusat perdagangan cengkeh dan pala terbesar di Maluku. Oleh sebab itu migran Kepulauan Lease menarik untuk di teliti. Permasalahan yang timbul adalah mengapa penduduk Kepulauan Lease melakukan mobilitas ke Kota Ambon? Dan bagaimana prosesnya? Untuk menjawab pertanyaan tersebut maka diperinci menjadi beberapa tujuan penelitian sebagai berikut : 1) mengkaji karakteristik migran baik secara demografi, sosial dan ekonomi migran Kepulauan Lease di Kota Ambon, 2) mengkaji pola mobilitas penduduk Kepulauan Lease ke Kota Ambon dan 3) mengkaji perilaku dan proses mobilitas penduduk Kepulauan Lease ke Kota Ambon. 4)merumuskan teori mobilitas penduduk kepulauan Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi kasus. Kasus dalam penelitian ini adalah individu/migran dari Kepulauan Lease sebanyak 7 unit kasus. Metode penentuan kasus adalah purposive dengan beberapa kriteria yang telah ditentukan. Hasil penelitian di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa variabel demografi merupakan variable penting dalam mempengaruhi siklus migran. Pola mobilitas penduduk Kepulauan Lease adalah mobilitas berantai, Pola ini dimuali adanya pionir migran dan diikuti oleh generasi I, Generasi II dan generasi selanjutnya. Keputusan migran dalam meakukan migrasi di lakukan di daerah tujuan. Oleh sebab itu, daerah tujuan memiliki peran penting dalam pengambilan keputusan migran Selanjutnya temuan dari penelitian ini adalah teori tentang mobilitas penduduk kepulauan. Teori ini menjelaskan bahwa pola mobilitas penduduk berantai dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor sosial dan budaya sebagai faktor pendorong dan penarik mobilitas. Teori ini menunjukkan 6 konsep dalam mobilitas kepulauan yaitu pulau kecil sebagai daerah asal migran, daerah tujuan, mobilits berantai antar generasi, faktor sosial dan budaya migran, serta migran kembali. Mobilitas bagi penduduk kepulauan adalah merupakan budaya dari generasi ke generasi dan akan berlangsung secara terus menerus

Research on the mobility of small islanders is very interesting to do. This is because the small island has unique and interesting characteristics. Such characteristic is like the life of the society is very requirement of custom. Each side of life is shown with certain symbols that contain the meaning of custom and supernatural. The life of its people is formed in cosmological rationality that is believed by society. This study was conducted in Ambon City by focusing on mobility from the Lease Islands. The mobility of the Lease Islands population has a high mobility rate to Ambon City, while the Lease Islands has a phenomenal history. The Lease Islands is one of the largest centers of clove and nutmeg trade in Maluku. Therefore, Lease Islands migrants are interesting to observe. The problem that arises is why the residents of the Lease Islands to make mobility to the city of Ambon? And how is the process? To answer the question, it is detailed into several research objectives as follows: 1) assess the migrant characteristics of both the Lease Islands migrants in Ambon City, 2) study the pattern of population mobility of the Lease Islands to Ambon City and 3) assess the behavior and processes the population mobility of the Lease Islands to Ambon City. 4) to formulate the theory of population mobility of the archipelago This research use case study method. Cases in this study were individuals / migrants from Lease Islands as many as 7 case units. The method of determining the case is purposive with some predetermined criteria. Results of field research indicate that demographic variables are important variables in influencing migrants cycle. The pattern of population mobility of the Lease Islands is the mobility of the chain. This pattern is in the presence of migrant pioneers and is followed by Generation I, Generation II and the next generation. The migrants' decision to do migration is done in the destination area. Therefore, the destination area has an important role in the decision making of migrants Furthermore, the findings of this research is the theory of population mobility of the archipelago. This theory explains that the pattern of mobility of the chain population is influenced by social and cultural factors as the driving factor and the pull of mobility. This theory shows 6 concepts in island mobility ie small islands as migrants' origins, destination areas, intergenerational chain mobilits, social and cultural factors of migrants, and return migrants. Mobility for archipelagic residents is a culture of generation to generation and will take place continuously
