ABSTRACT : Leadership is related to un-balanced power division between leaders and group members. Leaders have authority to direct any activity that members conduct, while members cannot straight direct activities that leaders do. Required leadership-style to make organization progress in given area is possibly different from required leadership-style that one utilizes to lead in other area. It means that strict and firm leadership-attitude, behavior and style is applicable for area of population with f r ,plain, aggressive and vocal attitudes. Such attitude, im behavior and style possibly are not applicable for area of population different from the first. It is important to be noted for heterogeneous population inhabiting wide area. There are several ways that leaders possibly utilized for improving their employees’ performance such as, awards for well-done-task, personal specific award, participation, promotion, and material provision. One of leaders tasks is to make themselves to have imaginative skill on various aspects that they should exploit as media to make changing for objectives achievement through rational goal creation. Employees as human resources are the most important aspects that organization requires to run its operational activities. It is employee that mostly receives impact when leadership style within organization changes. It is valuable to be noted that just through full participation of employee the changes that leader desires will come true. Based on the above description, the writer preferred to use the title, “The Impact Leadership Style on Employees’ Working Performance at PT. Luhur Maju Dinamika Lampung. ” The present research was aimed to identify various leadership style applied at PT. Luhur Lampung, and the impacts of leadership style on employees’ working performance at PT. Luhur Lampung. Basic method applied in this research was basic analytic method. There were two research variables, independent variables: directive leadership style, supportive leadership style and participative leadership style; and dependent variable: working performance. Sampling technique exploited was a technique that did not provide chances or opportunities for any population member to be selected as sample (non probability sampling) and saturated sampling or census, where all population members were exploited as samples. Questionnaires were provided for 52 respondents scored with interval scale. Data were collected through literature review and field study (interviews, observations, and questionnaires). Collected data in the research were processed with the aid of SPSS (Statistical Program for Social Science) 10.0 for Windows computer program. Data analysis was carried out by using validity and reliability tests with Cronbach’s Alpha technique, correlation test, and product moment test and regression linear test consisted of R2-, F-, and t-tests. Results indicated that directive leadership-style was dominantly applied when leaders explained group-task-oriented activities. Supportive leadership style was dominantly applied when leaders supported employees to work more actively. Participative leadership style was dominantly applied in the meeting where leaders allowed every employee to express their ideas honestly and openly, and others hear their ideas. Correlation test showed that directive, supportive and participative leadership styles had significant relationship and impacts on working performance of employees at PT. Luhur Maju Dinamika. T-test indicated that the most influencing leadership style at PT. Luhur Maju Dinamika was participative leadership style.
