Efek antiinflamasi ekstrak daun dan bunga kitolod (Isotoma longoflora presl.) terhadap inflamasi buatan pada tikus putih jatah galur wistar

Latar Belakang: Reaksi inflamasi dapat membahayakan bila tidak terkendali. Obat antiinflamasi nonsteroid digunakan untuk mengontrol efek yang membahayakan akibat reaksi inflamasi tersebut. Banyak obat antiinflamasi sintetis dipasarkan dan dapat dibeli tanpa resep. Namun demikian obat sintetis masih dirasa mahal dan dapat menimbulkan efek samping yang serius. Berpangkal tolak dari hal tersebut perlu dicari solusi obat baru dengan harga murah, ketersediaan bahan baku mudah dan efek samping ringan. Obat tradisional dapat di teliti secara ilmah untuk menyediakan obat alternatif tersebut. Salah satu bahan obat tradisional tersebut adalah tanaman kitolod (Isotoma longiflora Presl). Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui efek antiinflamasi daun dan bunga dari tanaman kitolod. Metode: Pada penelitian eksperimental ini digunakan 120 ekor tikus galur Wistar, yang dibagi dalam 15 kelompok yakni: 3 kelompok kontrol dan 12 kelompok perlakuan. Kelompok I (kontrol negatif) aquades 3 ml/tikus, II (kontrol negatif) diberi propilen glikol 2 ml/g, III (kontrol positif) indometasin 0,005 mg, IV ekstrak air daun kitolod dosis 1 (1,275 mg), V ekstrak air daun kitolod dosis 2 (5,100 mg), VI ekstrak air daun kitolod dosis 3 (20,400 mg), VII ekstrak kloroform daun kitolod dosis 1 (1,275 mg), VIII ekstrak kloroform daun kitolod dosis 2 (5,100 mg), IX ekstrak kloroform daun kitolod dosis 3 (20,400 mg), X ekstrak air bunga kitolod dosis 1 (1,275 mg), XI ekstrak air bunga kitolod dosis 2 (5,100 mg), XII ekstrak air bunga kitolod dosis 3 (20,400 mg), XIII ekstrak kloroform bunga kitolod dosis (1,275 mg), XIV ekstrak kloroform bunga kitolod dosis 2 (5,100 mg), XV ekstrak kloroform bunga kitolod dosis 3 (20,400 mg). Penelitian ini dijalankan dengan menggunakan metode Winder yang telah di modifikasi, dengan desain penelitian pretest and post test cotrolled group design. Hasil: Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa daun dan bunga kitolod mempunyai efek antiinflamasi. Efek antiinflamasi terkuat secara berurutan adalah pada ekstrak air daun kitolod, ekstrak air bunga kitolod dan ekstrak kloroform daun kitolod. Kesimpulan: Daun dan bunga tanaman kitolod mempunyai efek antiinflamasi. Ekstrak air dan kloroform (daun dan bunga) kitolod mempunyai efek antiinflamasi.

Background: Inflammatory reaction can be dangerous if there no control. NSAIDs (non steroid) anti inflammatory drugs efectively may control dangerous effect caused by the inflammatory reaction. Many of anti inflammatory in the market and c drugs be bought with not receipt. However synthetic medicines on considered too expensive and can some serious side effects. Based on that problem it is importan the minimal find solution of cheap of new medicines, made from materials that side effect. Traditional medicines could be the alternative medicine. One of the traditional medicines is kitolod (Isotoma longiflora Presl.). Objectives: This research was intended to explore anti inflammatory effect of leafs and flowers of kitolod plants. Method: The research using 120 Westar rats which were divided into 15 groups, they are 3 control groups and 12 treatment groups: group I received 3 ml /g aquades (negative control), group II recieved 2 ml/g propylene glycols (negative control), group III recieved 0.05 mg/g indometasin (positive control), group IV recieved kitolod leaves water extract dose 1 (1.275 mg), group V recieved kitolod leafs water extract dose 2 (5.100 mg), group VI recieved kitolod leafs water extract dose 3 (20,400 mg), group VII recieved kitolod leafs chloroform extract dose 1 (1.275 mg), group VIII recieved kitolod leafs chloroform extract dose 2 (5.100 mg), group IX recieved kitolod leafs chloroform extract dose 3 (20,400 mg), group X recieved kitolod flowers water extract dose 1 (1.275 mg, group XI recieved kitolod flowers water extract dose 2 (5.100 mg), group XII recieved kitolod flowers water extract dose 3 (20,400 mg), group XIII recieved kitolod flowers chloroform extract dose 1 (1.275 mg), group XIV recieved kitolod flowers chloroform extract dose 2 (5.100 mg), group XV received kitolod flowers chloroform extract dose 3 (20,400 mg). The research is conducted based on Winder’s method of modivication which, with pretest and post-test controlled group design. Result: Result research reported that leaf and flowers of kitolod plant have anti inflammatory effects. It was also showed that the strongest effects in a series were on kitolod leafs water extract, kitolod flowers water extract and kitolod leafs extract chloroforms. Conclusion: Leaf and flowers of kitolod has effect anti inflammatory. Water and chloroform extract of leaf and flowers of kitolod has antiinflammatory effect.
