Internet memiliki fungsi utama sebagai sarana hiburan dan sumber informasi. Berita merupakan salah satu bagian dari sumber informasi dan internet sebagai media penyampaian informasi. Pada umumnya, situs berita online dalam satu redaksi mempunyai struktur organisasi yang hampir sama dan memiliki bagian khusus dan terpisah dari bagian lainnya dalam bentuk media yang dipilih, yakni cetak ataupun online. Laporan ini membahas tentang bagaimana mekanisme pembuatan berita online di dalam redaksi National Geographic Indonesia.

Internet has a primary function as a means of entertainment and information sources. News is one part of the resources and the Internet as a medium of information delivery. In general, online news sites in one editorial has an organizational structure that is almost the same and has a special section and separate from the other parts in the form of selected media, print or online. This report focuses on how the mechanisms for creating online news editor of National Geographic in Indonesia.
