Tipe I karsinoma endometrium lebih sering teridentifikasi. Rerata umur karsinoma endometrium tipe I lebih rendah dibandingkan tipe II.

Background: Gynecological cancers account for approximately 25 percent of all cancers in women in developing countries. Endometrial carcinoma is the second most common among all gynecological cancers with the most common type being adenocarcinomas. However, there is still a lack of study regarding the profile of endometrial adenocarcinomas, especially in the Special Region of Yogyakarta where cancer prevalence is the highest in Indonesia. Therefore, this study analyzed the profile, particularly the age and grade of endometrial adenocarcinomas in the Department of Anatomical Pathology. Objective: To investigate the profile of endometrial adenocarcinoma in Department of Anatomical Pathology. Method and Materials: This was a descriptive study analyzing secondary data from results of histopathology reports in Department of Anatomical Pathology at Dr. Sardjito General Hospital in period of 2010 to 2014. Result and Conclusion: There were 176 cases of endometrial adenocarcinomas identified. Endometrioid adenocarcinomas accounted for 163 cases. Type I endometrial carcinoma was accounted for 90 cases and 32 cases for type II. The number of cases in 2010 was 13 and 39 cases in 2014. Frequency distribution for grade 1 and grade 2 was 45 cases independently and grade 3 was 32 cases. The mean age for all cases was 56 years. After stratified by grades, mean age of grade 1 was 55 years, grade 2 was 57 years, and 54 years for grade 3. Mean and median age for type I were 56 and 57 years and 54 and 55 years for type II. In conclusion, there was an overall increase of endometrial adenocarcinomas cases in 2010-2014. The most frequently identified was endometrioid type. The mean age in grade 3 was less than mean age in grade 1. Mean age of type I endometrial carcinoma was less than the type II.
