Pemanfaatan Teknologi Web Service Untuk Integrasi Sistem Layanan Materi Pelajaran Terdistribusi

Kurikulum yang diterapkan oleh Badan Standar Nasional Pendidikan (BSNP) pada prinsipnya menuntut keaktifan siswa dalam menggali informasi dari berbagai media, salah satunya bersumber dari internet. Peran sekolah terutama guru dalam menyediakan sumber materi pelajaran juga sangat diperlukan. Semakin banyak tersedia sumber materi pelajaran diharapkan akan menjadi salah satu faktor penunjang akademik siswa. Pembentukan jaringan layanan materi digital dapat menjadi sarana pembelajaran yang efektif. Layanan materi digital dapat digunakan untuk menghubungkan antar sekolah sebagai penyedia layanan materi, sehingga sistem informasi materi pelajaran dapat saling terintegrasi antar sekolah dan banyak resource materi yang didapatkan. Agar data-data materi dapat terintegrasi antar sekolah maka digunakan web service. Web Service yang dibangun di sistem penyedia layanan berada pada masing-masing sekolah. Hasil dari pemanfaatan teknologi web service untuk integrasi sistem layanan materi pelajaran yang berada di masing-masing sekolah, dengan dilakukan pengujian pada service-service yang dibangun di sekolah dan pengujian pada sistem informasi materi yang diakses oleh pengguna yaitu guru, siswa, dan dinas. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan web service dapat mengatasi permasalahan dalam menyediakan sebuah informasi secara terdistribusi pada banyak penyedia dan pengguna layanan sesuai dengan kebutuhan.
