RESPON ORGANISASI TERHADAP DINAMIKA LINGKUNGAN (Studi Kasus Pada Respon Organisasi Nahdlatul Ulama Jember Periode 2009-2014 Dalam Menghadapi Aliran Informasi Kelompok Islam Transnasional)

Organisasi Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) dengan landasan Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama'ah (Aswaja) yang berintikan pada nilai-nilai tawasuth (moderat), tasamuh (toleran), tawazun (proporsional) dan i'tidal (adil), terbukti mampu membawa NU sebagai salah satu kekuatan civil society di Indonesia. Kini NU dituntut untuk turut aktif memberikan respon atas dinamika lingkungan berupa informasi dari kelompok Islam transnasional, yang membawa prinsip dan nilai-nilai yang berlawanan dengan aqidah, amaliah dan tradisi NU. Informasi yang berpotensi mengancam organisasi NU, serta keberagamaan dan keberagaman di nusantara. Tesis ini berdasarkan pada studi kasus yang meneliti bagaimana respon organisasi NU, khususnya Pengurus Cabang Nahdlatul Ulama (PCNU) Jember periode 2009-2014 dalam menghadapi aliran informasi yang dapat digolongkan sebagai informasi yang tidak pasti, sulit dimengerti, tidak jelas, membingungkan dan multi tafsir (equivocality) dari kelompok Islam transnasional. Bagaimana PCNU Jember menerima informasi, mengolah informasi, mengorganisasikan diri, untuk kemudian memberikan respon sesuai dengan Teori Informasi Organisasi yang dicetuskan Karl Weick.

Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) organization and the base of Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama'ah (Aswaja) that is centered on the values of tawasuth (moderate), tasamuh (tolerant), tawazun (proportional) i'tidal (fair), proved to be able to bring NU as one of the power of civil society in Indonesia. Now, NU is expected to be active in giving response for the environment dynamics in the form of information from transnational Islamic groups, which is bring principles and the values that is contrast to the aqidah, amaliah, and NU traditions. The information that has a potential to threaten the NU organization, also the diversity in Indonesia. This thesis is based on the case study that investigate how is the response of NU, especially Pengurus Cabang Nahdlatul Ulama (PCNU)or the Board Branch of NU in Jember periode of 2009-2014 in facing the flow of information that can be classified as an uncertain, hard to understand, not clear, and ambiguous information (equivocality) from transnational Islamic group. How is PCNU Jember accepted the information, processing the information, organize themselves, for giving a response or it called as a organization action suitable to the Organization Information theory that triggered by Karl Weick.
