Press dies adalah salah satu alat yang digunakan pada mesin press untuk memproduksi sheet metal product. Diantaranya adalah implan DCP yang menggunakan proses produksi bending U dalam pembuatannya. Pada press dies terdapat 2 komponen yang selalu mengalami kontak tegangan yang mengakibatkan kedua komponen tersebut rawan rusak. Kedua komponen tersebut adalah punch dan die. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperbaiki dan menganalisis pada punch dan die yang rawan rusak tersebut. Press diess ini digunakan untuk produksi implan DCP berbahan baja AISI 316L. Punch dan die yang diperbaiki adalah komponen press dies yang dipasang pada mesin press Hoffman PDN 66x225. Perbaikan punch dan die menggunakan material baja Isodur yang merupakan baja spesial yang didesain untuk penggunaan proses pengerjaan dingin pada logam. Untuk analisis perhitungan menggunakan teori-teori sheet metal forming sedangkan simulasi pembebanan menggunakan software analisis untuk mengetahui von mises stress maksimum pada punch dan die.

Press dies is one of the tools used in press machine to manufacture sheet metal products. Among them is to use of implants DCP production process U bending in the making. In the press dies, there are 2 components that are always in contact forces resulting in both components are vulnerable to damage. The second component is the punch and die. This study aims to improve and analyze the punch and die are prone to damage them. Press diess is used for the production of implants DCP made of steel AISI 316L. Punch and die is the fixed component of press dies are mounted on the press machine PDN Hoffman 66x225. punch and die are repaired with material steel Isodur, special steel which is designed for use on metal cold working process. For analytical calculations using the theories of sheet metal forming and simulation while loading on press machine using analysis software to determine the maximum von mises stress on the punch and die.
