Nowadays Non Destructive Test (NDT) has been widely used to evaluate concrete quality on field. One of method in NDT is the use of Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity (UPV) test. In general, purposes utilization of UPV on concrete are to predict the strength of concrete, to determine its homogenity and to detect damage of concrete, such as voids or cracks. Research on prediction of crack depth using UPV has been implemented widely, but no explains on the effect of variety of concrete quality to UPV reading accuracy was set. This research is aimed to determine the accuracy of UPV test in detecting concrete cracks on variety of crack depth and concrete quality. In this research 12 beams samples with the dimension of 15×15×75 cm3 was used. The used concrete quality was vary on its water cement ratio of 0,75; 0,62; 0,48; 0,38; 0,26; 0,22. Local materials from Yogyakarta were used for concrete. Artificial cracks were made on the sample beams with ±3 cm deep (crack 1) and ±7 cm deep (crack 2). The measurement was carried out using 2 indirect method e.i with similar transducer distance to crack position (Method I) and movable transducer distance to crack position (Method II). The UPV test to measure crack depth was carried out after at age of the concrete were beyond 28 days. This research concludes that the UPV test with indirect method could be reasonably used for predicting crack depth on concrete. The accuracy of UPV test is affected by the distance of the tranducers. Using Method I, the effective transducer distance of 30 cm with the accuracy of 15,41% (crack 1) and 15-30 cm with acuracy of 16,85% (crack 2). Using Method II, the accuracy is 27,5% and 124,09% for crack type 1 and 2, respectively.
