Penelitian ini berjudul “20000 Mil di Bawah Lautan sebagai Tanggapan Pembaca Indonesia terhadap Vingt Mille Lieues sous les mers karya Jules Verne: Tinjauan Resepsi”. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan tanggapan pembaca Indonesia terhadap Vingt Mille Lieues sous les mers menjadi 20000 Mil di Bawah Lautan sebagai bentuk resepsi terjemahan dengan memanfaatkan teori resepsi dan teori terjemahan dalam sastra sebagai bentuk transformasi dari segi konvensi bahasa, konvensi budaya, dan konvensi sastra. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini diperoleh dari dua data primer, yaitu teks karya sastra Vingt Mille Lieues sous les mers karya Jules Verne dan karya terjemahan 20000 Mil di Bawah Lautan oleh N.H. Dini dengan didukung sumbersumber informasi (buku, makalah, artikel, surat kabar, dan internet) sebagai data sekunder yang mempunyai relevansi dengan topik penelitian ini. Teknik-teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik riset kepustakaan dan teknik baca-catat. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan menerapkan teori resepsi dan teori terjemahan. Penerjemahan yang berkaitan dengan konvensi bahasa menunjukkan bahwa proses terjemahan yang dominan dilakukan melalui proses peminjaman dan transposisi. Peminjaman terjadi suatu kata-kata dianggap sebagai kata asing atau merupakan kosa kata asing dan kata-kata tersebut tidak termasuk dalam kosa kata bahasa Indonesia. Transposisi terjadi karena terdapat tempat-tempat terbuka dalam teks bahasa sumber yang diisi oleh penerjemah dan menghasilkan varian baru yang berbentuk kata majemuk dalam karya terjemahan. Dalam proses penerjemahan yang berkaitan dengan budaya tidak terlepas dengan fungsi ekspresi pengarang dan mengungkapkan sistem peralatan hidup dan teknologi, serta sistem pengetahuan. Penerjemahan yang berkaitan dengan konvensi sastra menunjukkan adanya kesamaan fakta cerita antara karya sastra Vingt Mille Lieues sous les mers dan karya terjemahan 20000 Mil di Bawah Lautan. Berkaitan dengan gaya bahasa, menghasilkan transformasi dalam bentuk gaya bahasa dalam bahasa sumber diungkapkan sama dengan gaya bahasa dalam bahasa sasaran, gaya bahasa dalam bahasa sumber diungkapkan tidak sama dengan gaya bahasa dalam bahasa sasaran, zero (tidak terdapat gaya bahasa) dalam bahasa sumber tetapi menghasilkan gaya bahasa dalam bahasa sasaran, dan gaya bahasa dalam bahasa sumber menghasilkan zero gaya bahasa (tidak ada gaya bahasa) dalam bahasa sasaran.

This research entitled “20000 Mil di Bawah Lautan as the reader’s Indonesian response to Vingt Mille Lieues sous les mers the work of Jules Verne: Reception Review”. This research aims to express the reader’s Indonesian response to Vingt Mille Lieues sous les mers become 20000 Mil di Bawah Lautan as the form of translation reception by using theory of reception and translation theory in art, as the form of transformation in the aspect of language convention, culture convention, and literary convention. The data source in this research is obtained from two primary data, that is the text of literary work Vingt Mille Lieues sous les mers the work of Jules Verne published by Librairie Générale Français in the year 1990 and the text of the work respon in the form of the translate work 20000 Mil di Bawah Lautan by N.H. Dini published Enigma in the year 2004 with supported from the informations sources (books, handing out, article, newspaper, and internet) as the secondary data related to the topic this research. The technique data collecting in this research is the technique research of documentation and the technique read to note. The technique analyse the data in this research is descriptive qualitative with apply the reception theory and the translation theory. The translation process related to the language convention indicate that the dominant of the translation process is the the loaning and the transposition. The loaning in the translation because the words assumed a foreign word or represent the foreign vocabulary, and also not represent the Indonesian vocabulary. The transposition caused by openplek in the text of source language filled by translator and result the new variant which is the in the form of compound word in the translate work. In the process translation related to the culture convention not loose with the expressive function, and also express the technology and the science. The translation related to the literary convention indicate that the similarity of the facts fiction between Vingt Mille Lieues sous les mers with the translate work 20000 Mil di Bawah Lautan. In relation with the language style, result the transformation in the form of the same language style expression between the source language with the target language, the different language style expression between the source language with the the target language, zero of the language style in the source language result the language style in the target language, the expression of the language style in the source language result zero of the language style in the target language.
