Java is an island with a high level of geodynamics, caused by the subduction of the Indo-Australian Plate against the Sunda Block. The appearance seen on the island of Java is the fault pattern. One of them is the Baribis Fault. The Baribis Fault is active and is thought to be the cause of the earthquake in Majalengka in 1990 (M. 5,9) and Jakarta in 1780 (M. 7,0) and 1834 (M. 7,0). The Majalengka earthquake was caused by the Baribis Fault on the fixed segment, while the inferred fault of Baribis Fault caused the Jakarta 1780 and 1834 earthquakes. So far, the research that has been carried out only covers Java in general, not yet accurately detected the activity of the Baribis Fault, so a deformation model was carried out to see the Baribis Fault activity, both the fix fault and inferred fault segments. Deformation modeling is needed to see the activity around the Baribis Fault both on fix and inferred fault segments. One of the deformation models that can be used is the velocity and strain models. This deformation modeling studies using two main data, observation of continuous global positioning system (GPS) from BIG and BPN from 2015 to 2018, and campaign GPS observations from BIG from 2017 to 2018. GPS data were applied with a weighted least-square method, used 11 IGS points and tied to ITRF 2008 to get the final coordinate and velocity solution. The Euler pole parameter is used to calculate the velocity of the Sunda Block. The interpolation of velocity points is calculated using the least-square collocation method. Velocity interpolation is used to perform velocity and strain modeling. The strain parameters calculated include the principle strain rate, the dilatation rate, and the maximum shear strain. The results show the accuracy of the deformation monitoring point coordinates is at the millimeter fraction, except for the vertical components in the campaign GPS observations which are in the centimeter fraction. The velocity model around the Baribis Fault region has a southeastward movement, but after being corrected against the Sunda Block, it has a random direction, especially around the Baribis Fault. The observation strain and the strain model relative to the Sunda Block at the dilatation rate shows that a significant value occurs around the Baribis Fault fix area. This shows that the fault is an active segment while the observation strain model at the maximum shear strain value showed a less active fault area, which was in the inferred fault segment of Baribis Fault area.
