ANALISIS SEMIOTIKA CHARLES SANDERS PEIRCE TERHADAP ETIKA BUSHIDOU DALAM KOMIK ONE PIECE

Penelitian ini meganalisis nilai-nilai etika bushidou pada komik One Piece karya Eiichiro Oda. One Piece merupakan salah satu komik atau manga yang sangat populer dan telah terjual jutaan eksemplar. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tanda-tanda dalam komik One Piece yang merepresentasikan etika bushidou. Metode yang digunakan adalah analisis semiotika Charles Sanders Peirce. Menurut Peirce, tanda adalah sesuatu yang mewakili sesuatu yang lain. Peirce menggunakan segitiga triadik yang memiliki tiga komponen utama yaitu; objek, representamen, dan intepretan. Analisis dilakukan dengan meneliti cuplikan-cuplikan komik One Piece yang diidentifikasi memiliki tanda yang berhubungan dengan 7 nilai dalam etika bushidou. Penelitian ini terbagi ke dalam lima bab. Bab I merupakan pendahuluan yang berisi latar belakang, rumusan masalah, tujuan penelitian, metode penelitian, dan sistematika penelitian. Bab II berisi teori semiotika oleh Charles Sanders Peirce dan nlai-nilai bushidou. Bab III berisi cerita, tokoh, dan episode One Piece. Bab IV berisi analisis komik One Piece menggunakan teori semiotika Peirce. Bab V merupakan kesimpulan penelitian. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa karakter-karakter dalam komik One Piece pada chapter-chapter komik tertentu memiliki ketujuh nilai-nilai etika bushidou yaitu keadilan, keberanian, kebajikan, kejujuran, kesopanan, kehormatan, dan kesetiaan.

This research analyses the virtues of bushidou ethics in One Piece, a comic by Eiichiro Oda. One Piece is one of the most popular comic or manga and had sold millions of copies. This research aims to discover the signs in One Piece comic which represents the bushidou ethics. Method used in this research is the Charles Sanders Peirce�¢ï¿½ï¿½s semiotic theory. According to Peirce, sign is something that represents the something else. Peirce use the triadic triangle which had three main components; object, representament, and interpretant. This research was carried out by analysing the part of the comic which has been identified including signs related with 7 virtues of bushidou ethics. This research is divided into 5 chapters. The first chapter is the introductory part which contains background of this research, research formulas, aim of this research, method of research, and systematic of the research. Second chapter comprehends semiotic theory by Charles Sanders Peirce and the virtues of bushidou. Third chapter summarized the One Piece�¢ï¿½ï¿½s story, characters, and episodes. Fourth chapter discusses about the research analysis of the One Piece using semiotic theory by Peirce. Fifth chapter delivers the conclusion of this research. The result from the completed research covers the characters from One Piece in chapters includes the seven virtues of bushidou ethics; righteousness, honesty, courage, benevolence, respect, honour, loyalty.
