ANALISIS AITEM TES POTENSI AKADEMIK (TPA) PADA TES PENERIMAAN MAHASISWA BARU (PMB) UNIVERSITAS KRISTEN DUTA WACANA TAHUN 2013-2015

Tes potensi akademik (TPA) sangat sering dipakai dalam dunia pendidikan, salah satunya adalah untuk melakukan seleksi calon mahasiswa. Banyak universitas di Jogja yang juga menggunakan TPA sebagai seleksi masuk calon mahasiswa, salah satunya adalah Universitas Kristen Duta Wacana (UKDW). Akan tetapi, TPA yang dipakai UKDW untuk melakukan seleksi belum pernah diteliti lebih lanjut properti psikometrisnya, dengan demikian peneliti tertarik untuk melakukan evaluasi terhadap tes yang dipakai oleh UKDW. Penelitian ini hendak mengukur parameter tes yaitu 1) tingkat kesukaran aitem, 2) daya beda aitem, 3) efektivitas distraktor, serta 4) reliabilitas masing-masing subtes. Data setiap jawaban akan dianalisis menggunakan software Iteman dan SPSS. Sebagian besar aitem yang ada pada TPA ini tergolong baik. Terdapat beberapa aitem yang perlu dibuang serta diperbaiki. Reliabilitas aitem ini secara umum tergolong memuaskan.

Academic potential test oftenly used at educational matters, one of them is to selecting prospective student. Many universities in Yogyakarta also use this kind of academic potential test to select their prospective student, one of them is Universitas Kristen Duta Wacana (UKDW). The psychometric properties of academic potential test that used by UKDW never been analyzed before, therefore researcher interested to do an evaluation to the test that used by UKDW. This research aims to measure the test parameter, that is 1) difficulty level, 2) item disciminability, 3) distractor effectivity, and 4) reliability for each subtest. The data of every answers will be analyzed using Iteman and SPSS software. Most items on this test considerably good. There are several items that need to be thrown away or improve. The test reliability in this test is generally satisfying.
