Sistem Edukasi Pengenalan Pohon Menggunakan QR Code Scanner Berbasis Sistem Operasi Android

QR Code sebagai alat identifikasi banyak digunakan untuk menyimpan informasi beberapa barang untuk memudahkan identifikasi barang tersebut. Selain itu, QR Code juga dapat digunakan sebagai alat bantu pendidikan, yaitu untuk menyimpan beberapa informasi yang bersifat edukatif. Salah satu bentuk implementasi QR Code dalam dunia pendidikan adalah aplikasi temupohon ini. Aplikasi ini digunakan untuk mengidentifikasikan sebuah pohon yang di samping pohon tersebut diberikan sebuah QR Code, yang nantinya akan dilakukan proses scanning pada QR Code tersebut, untuk mengetahui informasi apa saja yang terdapat pada pohon tersebut. Proses scanning QR Code tersebut menggunakan ZXING library QR Code Scanner yang terdapat pada smartphone. Alat ini dibuat dengan menggunakan pemrograman Android dan Java. Proses ini dilakukan oleh para pelajar sebagai pengunjung dari aplikasi ini. Informasi pohon pada aplikasi ini dimasukkan oleh admin aplikasi ini melalui website temupohon. Informasi tersebut disimpan di dalam database MySQL yang terdapat pada website temupohon. Kemudian informasi tersebut dikirimkan ke smartphone pengunjung dengan menggunakan encoding JSON. Sementara itu, website dari aplikasi temupohon dibuat dengan menggunakan framework PHP Codeigniter. Aplikasi ini mendapat tanggapan yang positif dari beberapa akademisi dan layak untuk dikembangkan lebih lanjut. Aplikasi temupohon dapat digunakan sebagai pengganti papan nama pohon konvensional yang sering digunakan pada pohon di lingkungan sekolah dan kampus.

QR Code is an identification tool that used to store information of some products to ease identification of the products. Furthermore, QR Code can also be used as an educational tool, which is to store some information that is educative. One form of implementation of QR Code in education is this temupohon applications. This application is used to identify a tree by using a QR Code, which will be done scanning process on that QR Code, to find out any information which figured in that tree. That scanning process is using ZXING library of QR Code Scanner in the smartphone. This tool is built using Android and Java programming. This process is taken by the students as visitors of this application. The tree information in this application is inserted by the admin of this application through website of temupohon. The information is stored in the MySQL database in the temupohon website. Afterwards, that information is sent to the visitor's smartphone using JSON encoding. Meanwhile, the website of the temupohon application is created using the Codeigniter PHP framework. This application has a positive response from some academics and deserves to be developed more. Temupohon application can be used as an alternative for conventional tree nameplate that is often used on trees in school and college environments.
