Prodi D-3 Komsi Universitas Gadjah Mada adalah salah satu Program studi dibawah Departemen Teknik Elektro dan Informatika Sekolah Vokasi UGM. Sistem presensi perkuliahan yang berlaku menggunakan tanda tangan oleh mahasiswa ketika kuliah berlangsung pada kertas presensi dan di akhir semester setelah perkuliahan berakhir, data direkap ke dalam komputer oleh petugas masing-masing prodi. Sistem presensi tersebut menyulitkan bagi orang tua atau wali mahasiswa yang ingin mengetahui perkembangan kuliah anaknya secara langsung setiap harinya dan petugas administrasi prodi yang harus merekap data presensi setiap akhir semester. Berdasarkan masalah tersebut perlu dibangun sebuah sistem yang mampu menangani proses pengelolaan data presensi yang masih manual menjadi pengelolaan yang secara komputerisasi dan dapat menghitung rekapitulasi presensi mahasiswa. Salah satu teknologi yang dapat digunakan untuk mencatat presensi mahasiswa adalah aplikasi berbasis web. Sistem ini juga mampu melaporkan kegiatan perkuliahan mahasiswa kepada orang tua atau walinya yang bisa diakses melalui web. Sistem Informasi Presensi Mahasiswa Komsi Universitas Gadjah Mada Berbasis Web ini menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP, framework Codeigniter, dan basis data MySQL. Hasil keluaran dari penelitian ini adalah laporan kehadiran mahasiswa pada setiap mata kuliah.

Diploma Program Komsi University Gadjah Mada is one of the study program under the Department of Electrical Engineering and Informatics Vocational School UGM. Present lecture attendance system using signatures by students when the lecture takes place on presenting papers and at the end of the semester after the lecture ends, the data is recorded in the computer by the respective officers. Presence system makes it difficult for parents or guardians who want to know the progress of their children's lectures directly every day and administration officers who must record the data presence at the end of each semester. Based on the problem, it is necessary to build a system capable of handling the process of presenting manual data management into a computerized management and can count the recapitulation of student presences. One of the technologies that can be used to record student presences is web-based applications. The system is also able to report student lecture activities to parents or guardians who can be accessed via the web. Student Presentation Information System Komsi University Gadjah Mada Web-based uses the programming language PHP, Codeigniter framework, and MySQL database. The output of this research is the student attendance report in each subject.
