PENILAIAN PRECISION DOKUMEN ILMIAH BIDANG MANAJEMEN INFORMASI DAN PERPUSTAKAAN DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN SEARCH ENGINE ASK, AOL, BAIDU, BING, DAN YAHOO

Penelitian ini mencoba mencari search engine alternatif selain google.Bagi para pengguna internet tentunya tak asing dengan mesin pencari, terlebih bagi mereka yang tingkat interaksinya dengan internet sangat tinggi.Search engine ibarat pintu gerbang bagi pengguna internet dalam menemukan informasi yang dibutuhkan, Semakin beragamnya situs search engine yang tersedia di internet, menyebabkan semakin banyak pula pemilihan yang dapat dilakukan user.Metode penelitian yang dilakukan dengan Dalam penelitian ini pencarian dalam database Ask, Aol, Baidu, Bing, dan Yahoodilakukan dengan cara menggunakan metode pencarian berdasarkan file pdf.Pengujian dilakukan pada hari yang sama untuk menghindari terjadinya variasi hasil pencarian yang disebabkan oleh updating algoritma pengindeksan dari masing-masing Search Engine. Hasil Penelitian : 1).Precision terbaik di raih oleh search engine Bing dengan hasil precision temuan =2.29. Nilai tertinggi precision hasil temuannya = 1.84 dengan kata kunci Manajemen jejaring komunikasi informasi, sedangkan nilai precision terendah hasil temuan = 1.1 pada kata kunci Hubungan masyarakat dan promosi perpustakaan. 2). Precision terbaik kedua di raih oleh search engineAol dengan hasil precision temuan =2.25. Nilai tertinggi precision hasil temuannya = 1.55 dengan kata kunci Isu-isu kontemporer informasi, sedangkan nilai precision terendah hasil temuan = 1.3 pada kata kunci Semiotika media dan Manajemen dan desain perpustakaan.3). Precision terbaik ketiga di raih oleh search engine Yahoo dengan hasil precision temuan =2.24. Nilai tertinggi precision hasil temuannya = 1.55 dengan kata kunci Penelusuran informasi berbasis TIK dan Perpustakaan digital, sedangkan nilai precision terendah hasil temuan = 1.11 pada kata kunci Pengantar cultural studies.4).Precision terbaik keempat di raih oleh search engine Ask dan Baidu dengan hasil precision temuan =2.23. Nilai tertinggi precision hasil temuannya = 1.84 dengan kata kunci Pengelolaan informasi pada Ask sedangkan search engine Baidu Pengantar cultural studies, sedangkan nilai precision terendah hasil temuan = 1.1 pada kata kunci Informetrika pada Ask dan Metodologi ilmu-ilmu sosial pada Baidu.

This research tries to find the search engine alternative outside the google.For the internet user these machine have been familiar,more over for those who have high interaction with internet.The search engine is like the gate for the internet user in finding the information they need.The more various of the search Engine available in internet impact the more possible choice that the user do. The research method to find the data base Ask,Aol, Baidu, Bing, And Yahoo conducted by using the method finding the PDF file based,the testing was done at the same day to avoid the happening of various finding result affected by the algoritma precision index of beach the search engine.The research result :1) the best precision obtained by the Search engine, Bing with the precision finding 2,29.The highest precision score is 1,84 with the subject of management information communication network,while the flowers precision score is 1,1 for the subject of public relation and library promotion. 2) The best precision obtained by second.The search engine Aol with the precision score 2,25; the highest precision score is 1,55 with the subject the information contentporer issue.While the lowest score of this finding is 1,3 with the subject media and management and library design. 3) The third best precision obtained by the Search engine,Yahoo with the precision score is 2,24.The highest precision score is 1,55 with the subject searching information ICT based and digital library,while the lowest score is 1,11 with the subject cultured studies introduction. 4) The fourth best precision obtained by the Search engine,Ask and Baidu with the precision score is 2,23,the highest score is 1,84 for the subject the information management.For While the lowest score 1,1 with the subject information for engine Ask and brologing science,and social science for Baidu
