Populasi pertumbuhan manusia di dunia saat ini yang begitu tinggi dapat mempengaruhi kebutuhan akan sumber daya alam tertuma sumber daya air yang semakin lama semakin menurun. Hal ini berpotensi menurunkan kuantitas dan kualitas air konsumsi akibat sumber mata air terlalu banyak tereksploitasi industri tanpa ada proses perbaikan kualitas alam yang ada. Salah satu cara untuk menanggulangi permasalahan tersebut dapat menggunakan metode Rainwater Harvesting atau bisa disebut Memanen Air Hujan. Indonesia dengan curah hujan yang cukup tinggi antara 2.000 - 4.000 mm pertahunnya membuat permasalahan tersebut dapat teratasi dengan metode ini. Perkembangan industri Indonesia mengalami peningkatan yang cukup besar di kisaran 7,3% data Kementerian Perindustrian Republik Indonesia tahun 2013. Peningkatan tersebut berupaya menjadi penyebab meningkatnya bencana banjir di daerah urban (perkotaan) maupun di daerah rural (pedesaan). PT. Tirta Investama Ciherang, Bogor pada tahun 2016 akan menjadi pilot project dalam menerapkan metode Rainwater Harvesting di wilayah industri. Sehingga masyarakat di sekitar industri tidak mengalami dampak adanya penurunan muka air tanah ataupun banjir yang setiap tahun datang dan bedampak terhadap berhentinya perekonomian masyarakat.

The population of human growth in today's world that is so high can affect the need for the endemic natural resources of water resources that are increasingly declining. This has the potential to reduce the quantity and quality of water consumption due to too much exploited water source industry without any process of natural quality improvement that exists. One way to overcome these problems can use the method of Rainwater Harvesting or can be called Harvesting Water Rain. Indonesia with high rainfall between 2,000 - 4,000 mm annually makes the problem can be solved by this method. The development of Indonesian industry experienced a considerable increase in the range of 7.3% of data of the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia in 2013. The increase is trying to be the cause of the flood disaster in urban areas (urban) as well as in rural areas (rural). PT. Tirta Investama Ciherang, Bogor in 2016 will be a pilot project in applying Rainwater Harvesting method in industrial area. So that people around the industry do not experience the impact of the decrease in groundwater or flood that every year come and bedampak to the cessation of the economy of the community.
