APLIKASI THEORY OF PLANNED BEHAVIOR DENGAN LOCUS OF CONTROL SEBAGAI VARIABEL MODERASI PADA NIAT MENGGUNAKAN UANG ELEKTRONIK

Seiring dengan perkembangan teknologi dalam sistem pembayaran, peranan uang tunai sebagai alat pembayaran mulai digantikan oleh bentuk pembayaran non tunai yang lebih efisien dan ekonomis antara lain uang elektronik. Namun demikian penggunaan uang elektronik tidak kunjung mengalami peningkatan dan persentase pnggunanya jauh tertinggal dibandingkan dengan negara lain. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyusun strategi meningkatkan penggunaan uang elektronik dengan mengaplikasikan Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) dengan Locus Of Control (LOC) sebagai variabel moderasi. Penelitian ini menghipotesiskan bahwa seluruh variabel dalam TPB berpengaruh positif terhadap niat dan LOC sebagai variabel moderasi terhadap niat. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa variabel sikap terhadap perilaku (attitude toward behavior) serta kontrol perilaku yang dirasakan (percieved behavioral control) berpengaruh positif terhadap niat menggunakan uang elektronik sedangkan norma subyektif (subjective norm) tidak terbukti secara signifikan berpengaruh terhadap niat. Locus of Control (LOC) terbukti secara signifikan memoderasi hubungan antara sikap terhadap perilaku dan niat menggunakan uang elektronik tetapi tidak terbukti secara signifikan memoderasi norma subyektif dan kontrol perilaku yang diraskan terhadap niat menggunakan uang elektronik.

Along with technological developments in the payment system, the role of cash as a means of payment began to be replaced by a more efficient and economical form of non-cash payment such as electronic money. However, the use of electronic money has not increased and the percentage of its users is far behind compared to other countries. This study aims to develop strategies to increase the use of electronic money by applying Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) with Locus Of Control (LOC) as moderation variables. This research hypothesized that all variables in TPB have positively effect intention and LOC as moderation variable to intention. The result of this research indicates that attitude toward behavior variable and percieved behavioral control positively affect the intention of using electronic money while subjective norm is not significantly affect to intention. Locus Of Control (LOC) is significantly moderate attitudes toward behavior and the intentions of using electronic money but is not proven to significantly moderate subjective norms and control behaviors that underlain against the intention of using electronic money.
