ANALISIS KEBUTUHAN KOMPONEN PRODUK TEMPAT TIDUR DAN MATRAS DENGAN METODE MATERIAL REQUIREMENT PLANNING STUDI PADA PT. MEGA ANDALAN KALASAN

PT. Mega Andalan Kalasan (MAK) merupakan salah satu pelaku industri peralatan kesehatan di Indonesia sejak tahun 1988 dan terletak di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh MAK adalah adanya kekurangan komponen untuk subrakitan produk yang masuk kedalam gudang. Hal ini mengakibatkan terjadinya penundaan perakitan untuk subrakitan produk yang dipesan dan juga dibutuhkan tempat penyimpanan tambahan bagi komponen-komponen untuk subrakitan produk yang belum lengkap. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengidentifikasi kategori produk apa saja yang sering dipesan oleh konsumen dan memformulasikan kebutuhan komponen untuk produk-poduk pilihan didalam penelitian ini. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus dari MAK. Menjawab pertanyaan penelitian maka penulis menggunakan teori Bill of Material (BOM) sebagai dasar untuk menghitung kebutuhan komponen produk di MAK. Teori Bill of Material (BOM) merupakan bagian dari teori Material Requirement Planning (MRP). Lingkup penelitian dilakukan pada area gudang dan logistik PT. Mega Andalan Kalasan. Kesimpulan dari penelitian adalah hasil identifikasi berupa kategori produk yang sering dipesan konsumen yaitu kategori produk Bed & Matresses, dan jumlah kebutuhan komponen berdasarkan analisis dari teori Bill of Material. Dari hasil perhitungan kebutuhan komponen 22 produk pilihan tersebut diketahui bahwa jumlah kebutuhan komponen setiap produk berbeda-beda.

PT. Mega Andalan Kalasan (MAK) that is one of the hospital equipment industries in Indonesia, establihed in 1998 is located in Yogyakarta. MAK has faced a problem involving the lack of components fors Subrakitans product which is delivered to the the warehouse. As the results, the assembling process for the products ordered has been delayed and the additional storage for been delayed and the additional storage for in completed components ofs subrakitans product. The aims of this research are to identity which product categories are often by consumer and to formulate the components necessity for the selected product in this research. Descriptive quantitative method corelated with the approachment of PT. MAK is study case is the method used in order to answer the main question of this research the author use the theory of bill of material (BOM) as the basic calculation of product component in PT. Mega Andalan Kalasan. Bill of materials theory (BOM) is part of material requirement plannings is theory. The research took place in warehouse and logistic areas PT. MAK. This conclude the research with the identification facts that beds and matresses are highly likely product categories to be ordered by consumers and the total number of components that are needed based on the theory of bill of material (BOM). It can shown from these 22 preference products calculated that every product has different number of requirement.
