Informations related to meteorology element, especially to rainfall data, is needed to be used in many analysis, such as disaster analysis, agriculture, and infrastructure development. Rain gauge is the main rainfall data provider which is considered inflexible because of its slow dissemination and limited distribution. During the analysis which needs fast and responsive decision making, these become obstacles. As the alternative solution, Himawari-8 is a new generation of geostationary satellite that has very high temporal resolution which records the whole eastern hemisphere in 10 minutes, meanwhile GPM is successor of the former rainfall measurement satellite "TRMM" and brings GMI sensor with the capability to extract the rainfall information in mm/hour. The purposes of this research are (1) to map the distribution of rainfall and (2) to evaluate the ability of Himawari-8 and GPM in order to obtain the rainfall information. Blended method is used by utilizing the Top Cloud Temperature (TCT) value from geostationary satellite and rainfall intensity from satellite based on microwave sensor. Both of these values are integrated to determine the equations which then applied to all of Himawari-8 imageries. With that equation, Himawari-8 imageries have a pixel with rainfall information. All Himawari-8 imageries which contain rainfall information are aggregated to obtain daily and monthly rainfall information. The results shows that the estimation model of rainfall from Himawari-8 - GPM has an underestimated value with the accuracy of 76%. Himawari-8 - GPM estimates that total rainfall in Jawa Barat Province is 9882 mm, meanwhile rain gauges measures the precipitation in the amount of 12868 mm. The central part of Western Java has high rainfall (301 - 400 mm) due to the domination of mountainous topographic whereas Southern West Java is dominated by medium rainfall (101 - 300 mm).
