Media Sosial, Pola Komunikasi Politik dan Relasi Kekuasaan dalam Masyarakat Kesukuan Flores:Analisis Kritis Atas Wacana dan Percakapan dalam Diskusi Politik Online pada Grup Facebook Wacana Pembentukan Provinsi Flores

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengungkapkan pola komunikasi politik dan relasi kuasa dalam dinamika diskusi politik online tentang pembentukan Provinsi Kepulauan Flores (PKF) melalui grup Facebook Wacana Pembentukan Provinsi Flores (WPPF) dalam konteks masyarakat kesukuan kepulauan Flores, Nusa Tenggara Timur. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian atas teks media sosial sebagai elemen kejadian sosial dan proses pemaknaan yang memiliki efek kausal seperti perubahan pengetahuan, kepercayaan, sikap dan nilai yang direproduksi melalui struktur teks dan percakapan. Penelitian ini menggunakan paradigma kualitatif dengan pendekatan kritis. Sejalan dengan karakteristik teks media sosial sebagai teks sosial siber interaktif, maka teks dianalisis dengan transformasi metode analisis wacana kritis Teun A. Van Dijk dan analisis percakapan online. Analisis wacana kritis menyelidiki struktur wacana dan konteks sosial teks. Analisis percakapan online membedah pola komunikasi dan relasi kuasa yang terbangun oleh sebuah teks interaktif. Analisis komprehensif terhadap struktur sosio-teknologis grup dan lima teks terpilih mengungkapkan bahwa: 1) praksis komunikasi politik melalui media sosial oleh masyarakat kesukuan terkait isu politik pembentukan PKF, didominasi oleh pola komunikasi politik strategis. Pola tersebut tampak pada struktur wacana yang monolog, banyak bermuatan personal revelation dan showcase serta flaming dari aktor dan kepentingan elit politik lokal. Pola strategis juga terungkap dalam struktur percakapan online yang minim unsur deliberatif baik dalam alih tutur serta dominannya polarisasi dan aliansi para pengelola grup berbasis elit politik dan etnis-kewilayahan. Pola partisipatif-komunitarian juga tampak melalui kuatnya menjaga kohesi sosial grup atas nama kesukuan Flores tanpa diskursus intra-ideologi grup. Konsekuensinya, pola deliberatif tidak terbentuk, sifat pesan pun berubah dari isu politik menjadi advokasi politik. Begitu pula para komunikator, dari fasilitator menjadi juru bicara dan anggota elit kelompok penekan. 2) relasi kuasa berlangsung melalui strategi dominasi yang mencakup klaim representatisme dan regularisme serta switching para pengelola grup dengan elit politik pro pembentukan PKF; sementara strategi resistensi melalui fragmentasi dan aliansi tandingan warga bagian timur Flores serta kulturalisme Gereja Katolik di balik unwiring atau absennya non netizen Flores.

This study aims to find out the patterns of political communication and the dynamics of power relations in the online political discussions about the establishment of ProvinsiKepulauan Flores in the Facebook group WacanaPembentukanProvinsi Flores in the context of tribal society of Floresisland, East Nusa Tenggara. This research examines the social media text as an element of social events and processes of meaning-making that have causal effects such as changes in knowledge, beliefs, attitudes and values which are reproduced through the structures of the text and conversation. This study uses qualitative paradigm with a critical approach. In line with the text characteristics of social media as interactive social-cyber text, then the text is analyzed by the transformation of critical discourse analysis method of Teun A. Van Dijk and online conversationsanalysis. Critical discourse analysis aims to investigate the structure of discourse and social context of the text. Analysis of online conversations dissecting communication patterns and power relations were constructed by an interactive text. This comprehensive analysis on the structure of the socio-technological group and five selected text reveals that: 1) the praxis of political communication through social media by Flores tribal people that related to political issues of PKF formation, dominated by elitist-strategic political communication patterns. The patterns seen in the monologue structure of discourse. A lot of it contains personal revelation and showcase and flaming toward actors and interests of the local political elite. Strategic pattern seen also in the structure of the online conversation where so minimal deliberative element both in speech and dominance over the polarization and the managers of the group-based alliance of elite political and ethnic-territorial found on it. Participatory-communitarian pattern is also visible through the strength of the group to maintain social cohesion in the name of tribal discourse Flores without intra-group ideology critics. Consequently, deliberative pattern is not formed, the nature of the message was changed from a political issue into a political advocacy. Similarly communicators, facilitators became a spokesman and member of the elite pressure groups. 2) The relation of power takes place through domination strategies that include claims representationism and regulationism as well as switching the group manager with the political elite pro PKF formation; while the strategy of resistance through fragmentation and a rival alliance of citizens as well as the eastern part of Flores culturalism Catholic Church behind unwiring or absence of non netizen Flores.
