Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh umur induk terhadap kinerja reproduksi kambing Peranakan Ettawa di kecamatan Turi kabupaten Sleman. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan kambing betina yang telah beranak minimal 1 kali, yaitu umur 1,5 sampai 2 tahun (Poel 2), 2,3 sampai 3 tahun (Poel 3) dan 3,5 sampai 4 tahun (Poel 4) masing-masing 20 ekor. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah survey melalui wawancara dengan menggunakan daftar pertanyaan dan penentuan umur berdasarkan poel gigi kambing. Variabel yang diamati adalah litter size, post partum estrus, post partum mating, interval kelahiran dan service per conception. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis statistik Rancangan Acak Lengkap pola searah. Hasil penelitian menunjukan Litter size kambing Poel 2; Poel 3; Poel 4 berturut-turut sebesar 1,50+0,11 ekor; 2,10+0,16 ekor; 2,00+0,14. Post partum estrus kambing Poel 2; Poel 3; Poel 4 berturut-turut sebesar 3,4+0,38 bulan; 3,1+0,27 bulan; 3,4+0,31 bulan. Post partum mating kambing Poel 2; Poel 3; Poel 4 berturut-turut sebesar 3,9+0,36 bulan; 5,1+0,59 bulan; 4,2+0,42 bulan. Interval kelahiran kambing Poel 2; Poel 3; Poel 4 berturut-turut sebesar 8,9+0,36 bulan; 8,2+0,24 bulan; 9,3+0,44 bulan. Service per Conception kambing Poel 2; Poel 3; Poel 4 berturut-turut sebesar 1,40 + 0,13 kali; 1,40 + 0,13 kali; 1,6 + 0,15 kali. Disimpulkan bahwa umur kambing berpengaruh nyata (P< 0,05) terhadap kinerja reproduksi yaitu litter size. Sedangkan interval kelahiran, Post partum estrus, Post partum mating dan Service per conception tidak dipengaruhi oleh umur.

This study was aimed to determine the effects of age on reproduction ability of crossbreed goats ettawa in Turi sub Districts, Sleman Regency. This study used female goat that had been lambing at least 1 time, were 1.5 to 2 years of age (Poel 2), 2.3 to 3 years (Poel 3) and 3.5 to 4 years (Poel 4) respectively 20 tail. The method that used in this research was the survey through interviews using list of questions and determinations age based on teeth Poel goats. The variables measured were litter size, post partum estrus, post partum mating, kidding interval and service per conception. Data were analyzed using statistical analysis CRD (Completely Randomized Design) unidirectional pattern with aged as primary factors. The results showed litter size goats of Poel 2; Poel 3; Poel 4 in a row amounted to 1.50+0.11 tail; 2.10+0.16 tail; 2.00+0.14 tail. Post partum estrus of Poel 2; Poel 3; Poel 4 in a row amounted to 3,4+0,38 months; 3,1+0,27 months; 3,4+0,31 months. Post partum mating of Poel 2; Poel 3; Poel 4 in a row amounted to 3,9+0,36 months; 5,1+0,59 months; 4,2+0,42 months. Kidding interval goats of Poel 2; Poel 3; Poel 4 in a row amounted to 8.9+0.36 months; 8.2+0.24 months; 9,3+0.44 months. Service per conception of Poel 2; Poel 3; Poel 4 in a row amounted to 1,40+0,13 times; 1,40+0,13 times; 1,6+0,15 times. The conclusion performance of litter size was significant (P <0.05) by aged goat on reproductive. The Kiding interval, Post partum estrus, Post partum mating and Service per conception were not affected by age.
