Desain Purwarupa Digital Library untuk Sekolah Dasar Berdasarkan analisis Usability dan User Experience

Antarmuka digital library harus dikembangkan dan dapat beradaptasi dengan kebutuhan anak yang mempunyai kemampuan dan harapan yang sangat berbeda dengan orang dewasa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat desain purwarupa user interface digital library untuk anak berdasarkan hasil analisis usability dan user experience dari empat form UI digital library ICDL yang ditentukan, yaitu user login/register, book overview, about this book, dan simple search. Untuk mendapatkan data, penelitian ini menggunakan tiga metode, yaitu field observation yang dianalisis menggunakan metode Probabilitas Bayesian, kuesioner USE dan UEQ yang diolah menggunakan metode LSR dan SD, dan paper prototyping untuk mendeteksi keingingan desain dari anak. Partisipan terdiri dari 36 siswa SD yang ada di kabupaten Sragen, Jawa Tengah, Indonesia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa desain purwarupa UI digital library pada form UI register/login, banyaknya siswa berhasil melaksanakan tugas sebesar 0.61 atau 61%. Pada purwarupa form UI simple search, tingkat banyaknya siswa berhasil dalam menyelesaikan tugas sesuai waktu yang diberikan dan dari hasil jawaban siswa 0.58 atau 58%. Pada purwarupa form UI book overview tingkat keberhasilan siswa dalam menyelesaikan tugas sebesar 72%. Pada purwarupa form UI about this book, tingkat keberhasilan siswa dalam menyelesaikan tugas sebesar 65%. Selain itu penelitian ini menghasilkan usulan 19 icon dan metaphor baru untuk pada desain purwarupa. Dari hasil analisis yang di dapatkan, desain purwarupa UI digital library berdasarkan pada analisis usability dan user experience, dinilai cukup berhasil untuk dijadikan dasar UI digital library untuk anak Indonesia.
Digital library as a source of information and knowledge that can be accessed using computer tools should be usable by anyone, including by children. User interface digital library should be developed and can adapt to the needs of children who have differently ability and expectations with adult adults. This study aims to create a design prototype of digital library for children with based on the analysis of usability and user experience from the four UI ICDL digital library forms that has been determined. To get the data, this study using three methods, there are field observation were analyzed using Bayesian probability, USE and UEQ questionnaires were processed using the method of LSR and SD, and paper prototyping methods to detect a children’s desire on the design. Participants consisted of 36 elementary school students in Sragen, Central Java, Indonesia. This study focuses on the testing of four digital library forms, there are users Login / Register, book overview, about this book, and a simple search. The results showed that the design prototype of digital library in the form UI register / login, the possibility of the number of students successfully carry out the tasks of 0.61 or 61%. In the form simple search, the level of the number of students successfully completing a task according to the time given and the results of students' answers to 0:58 or 58%. On the form book overview, student success rate in completing tasks on prototype by 72%. On the form about this book, the success rate of students in completing the task by 65%. In the other side, prototype design resulting 19 new icon and metaphor that can recommendation for ICDL. So the results obtained that the prototype design of digital library based on the analysis of usability and user experience, is considered successful enough to be used as a basis for developing a UI digital library for the Indonesian children were in elementary school.
