Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur efisiensi teknis dari PD BPRBKK di Kabupaten Kendal untuk periode 1999-2000. Populasi untuk penelitian ini terdiri dari 13 unit PD BPR-BKK yang ada di Kabupaten Kendal. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data sekunder yang dikumpulkan dari Biro Perekonomian Sektretariat Daerah Propinsi Jawa Tengah, Bagian Perekonomian Sekretariat Daerah Kabupaten Kendal dan Kantor Badan Pusat Statistik Kabupaten Kendal. Alat analisis yang diterapkan dalam penelitian ini adalah Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). Sebagai variabel input adalah penambahan modal, jumlah karyawan dan biaya operasional. Variabel outputnya adalah aset, dana masyarakat, kredit yang disalurkan, dan laba. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari 13 PD BPR-BKK yang ada pada tahun 1999, 5 unit di antaranya tergolong efisien, dan pada tahun 2000, 6 unit tergolong efisien. Sumber-sumber inefisiensi PD BPR-BKK yang belum efisien pada umumnya terletak pada variabel inputnya.

This research aimed to measure the technical efficiency of PD BPRBKK in Kendal Regency for the period 1999-2000. The data population consist of 13 units of PD BPR-BKK in this regency. The data used ini this research are secondary data, obtained from the Regional Economic Bureau of The Regional Secretariat of Central Java Province, The Economic Department of The Regional Secretariat of Kendal Regency, and Central Statistic Bureau of Kendal Regency. The analysis method . applied in this research is Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). As input variables are capital addition, number of employees and operational cost. As output variables are asset, saving, credit and profit. The results of this research indicate that in 1999, from 13 units PD BPR-BKK, 5 units of them categorized as efficient, and in 2000, 6 unit of them categorized as efficient. The inefficiency sources of inefficient PD BPR-BKKs are on their input variables.
