PENGARUH APLIKASI NANOFILLED SELF-ADHESIVE LIGHT CURED PROTECTIVE COATING DAN VARNISH TERHADAP PERUBAHAN WARNA SEMEN IONOMER KACA MODIFIKASI RESIN YANG DIRENDAM DALAM SEDUHAN TEH HITAM

Pelindung permukaan yang sering digunakan pada semen ionomer kaca modifikasi resin (RMGIC) adalah varnish, yang mudah larut dan terjadi penguapan pada komponen pelarutnya sehingga menyebabkan porositas. Pada keadaan klinis, hal tersebut akan menyebabkan perubahan warna pada RMGIC. Belakangan ini, nanofilled self-adhesive light cured protective coating dikembangkan untuk melindungi restorasi estetik. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas varnish dan nanofilled self-adhesive light cured protective coating dalam stabilitas warna pada SIKMR. Dua puluh spesimen disk berdiameter 15 mm dan ketebalan 1mm dibagi menjadi dua kelompok. Kelompok pertama dilapisi dengan nanofilled self-adhesive light cured protective coating dan kelompok kedua dilapisi dengan pelindung permukaan varnish. Seluruh disk direndam dalam seduhan teh hitam yang diganti setiap 24 jam sekali selama 7 hari. Pengukuran perubahan warna dilakukan sebelum perendaman teh hitam dan setelah hari ke-7. Data hasil perhitungan perubahan warna dua kelompok dianalisis menggunakan uji-t tidak berpasangan. Seluruh RMGIC yang teruji menunjukkan perubahan warna setelah 7 hari perendaman. Perubahan warna dari disk RMGIC yang dilapisi dengan nanofilled self-adhesive light cured protective coating lebih rendah secara signifikan daripada yang dilapisi dengan varnish (p<0,05). Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa nanofilled self-adhesive light cured protective coating dapat meningkatkan stabilitas warna pada RMGIC.

In resin modified glass ionomer cement (RMGIC) restoration, one of surface coating agent which commonly used is varnish. The negative effects of varnish are easily dissolved in mastication and evaporated so that porosity occur. To solve the negative effects of varnish, hence nanofilled self-adhesive light cured protective coating is used. The aim of the study was to compared effectivity of varnish and nanofilled self-adhesive light cured protective coating to protect discoloration of RMGIC. Twenty disc specimens with 15 mm diameter and 1 mm thick were divided in two groups. First group was applicated with nanofilled self-adhesive light cured protective coating and second group was applicated with varnish. Both groups were immersed in steeping black tea which changed every 24 hours for 7 days. The measurement of discoloration was done before all specimens immersed in steeping black tea and after 7th days. The data of measurement were analyzed by independent t-test. This study between RMGIC was applicated with nanofilled self-adhesive light cured protective coating and RMGIC was applicated with varnish showed there were significant statistically differences of discoloration (p<0,05). This conclusion of this study was nanofilled self-adhesive light cured protective coating was more effective to protect discoloration compared with varnish.
