Many students do not accomplish their home works. Lack of motivation is the cause why students do not accomplish their homework. Mystery motivator is used as a technique to motivate the students. The present research aims to examine the effectiveness of applied Mystery Motivator among Elementary School students having problems in doing home works. Subjects of this research involves 20 grade five students of elementary school. They were assigned into 10 students of experimental group and 10 students of control group. Homework motivation scale is given before and after implementing the mystery motivator, and a follow-up is taken one month afterwards. The Hypothesis of this research states that students provided with mystery motivator shows improved motivation in doing homeworks compared to those that has not been provided with the mystery motivator. Results showed that there was difference in the average gain score of 16.10 with a significance level of 0.001 (p<0.05), indicating that students provided with mystery motivator significantly show improved motivation in doing their assignments home works. It is expected that the Mystery Motivator could be developed as a technique to assist teachers and parents in motivating their children to accomplish their home works.
