Penelitian ini dilakukan di PT. Albasi Parahyangan yang berlokasi di Jalan Batulawang km 3 Banjar Ciamis .Jawa Barat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perkembangan persediaan bahan baku rata-rata, persediaan barang dalam proses rata-rata, persediaan barang jadi rata-rata, biaya pemakaian bahan baku, harga pokok produksi, - harga pokok penjualan dan tingkat perputaran persediaan selama periode tahun 1990-1994 serta untuk mengetahui jumlah pembelian bahan baku yang optimal dan titik di mana harus dilakukan pemesanan bahan baku kembali. Obyek penelitian berupa laporan keadaan bahan baku, barang dalam proses serta barang jadi dari perusahaan yang selanjutnya dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode horizontal terhadap persediaan bahan baku rata-rata, persediaan barang dalam proses rata-rata, persediaan barang jadi rata-rata, biaya pemakaian bahan baku, harga pokok produksi dan harga pokok penjualan serta roelakukan perhitungan dengan menggunakan rumus-rumus perputaran persediaan, rumus EOQ serta rumus Reorder Point. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persediaan yang dimiliki PT. Albasi Parahyangan selalu mengalami perubahan dari tahun ke tahun. Demikian pula biaya pemakaian bahan baku, harga pokok produksi dan harga pokok penjualan selalu tidak sama untuk setiap tahunnya. Hal ini menyebabkan tingkat perputaran persediaan, hari rata-rata persediaan serta modal yang tertanam dalam persediaan pun selalu berubah dari tahun ke tahun. Besarnya pembelian bahan baku yang optimal untuk kayu Sengon adalah 1.592,092 m dengan biaya persediaan tahunan Rp . 1.868.059,167 dan pemesanan dilakukan pada saat persediaan yang berada di TPK sebesar 618,836 m . Untuk bahan baku 3 kayu Pinus jumlah pembelian yang optimal adalah 251,003 m dengan biaya persediaan tahunan sebesar Rp . 3.268.390,229 dan pemesanan kembali dilakukan pada saat persediaan yang berada di TPK sebesar 144,279 m .

This study is done at PT. Albasi Parahyarigari that located in Batulawang street tree kilometers from Banjar - Ciamis - West of Java. The aim of this study is to know of the growth of the average raw materials inventory, the average goods in process inventory, the average finished goods inventory, cost of raw materials used, cost of manufactory, cost of goods sold during 1990 - 1994 period and to know the economical order quantity of materials and reorder point. The object of this study are the condition reports of the raw materials, goods in process and finished goods at the factory and then the object of the study are analysed by the horizontal method through the average raw materials, the average goods in process, the average finig 'hed goods, cost of raw materials, cost of manufactory, and cost of goods sold and then are accounted by the formulas of the inventory turn over, EGQ and Reorder Point. The result of study shows that the inventory that had of PT. Albasi Parahyangan always changes from year to year. The cost of raw materials used, cost of goods manufactory and cost of goods sold are not always same in each year, too. The changings cause the inventory turn over, average days inventory and the invested capital of the inventory change from year to year, too. The economical order quantities of raw materials of Sengon woods are 1,592.092 m with the cost of the year inventory Rp. 1,868,059.187 and the order is done when the inventory in TPK in the amount of 618.836 m . For the economical order quantities of the inventory of Pinus woods are 251.003 m with the cost of the year inventory in the amount of Rp. 3,266,390.229 and the reorder is done when the inventory in TPK in the amount of 144.279 m .
