Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merekonstruksi teori intensionalitas Edmund Husserl dalam perdebatan metafisik antara realisme dan antirealisme. Oleh karenanya, tujuan akhir dari penelitian adalah menemukan status ontologis dari objek kesadaran dalam tindakan intensional. Upaya penemuan status ontologis objek dalam teori intensionalitas Husserl ini dipicu oleh adanya upaya penyingkiran terhadap warisan fenomenologi Husserlian dari diskurus filsafat kontemporer. Ia dianggap sebagai cara berfilsafat yang antirealis yang membuat pemikiran filsafat sejauh ini menjadi solipsis. Penelitian ini membuktikan hal yang sebaliknya bahwa teori intensionalitas Husserl memiliki komitmen realis dan tidak solipsis. Penelitian ini menggunakan model penelitian historis faktual tentang tokoh. Objek material penelitian ini adalah pemikiran Edmund Husserl, sedangkan objek formalnya adalah problem status ontologis objek dalam diskursus metafisik. Penelitian ini berjalan dengan empat tahap, yaitu inventarisasi, klasifikasi, analisis, dan penyusunan hasil dengan meggunakan lima unsur metodis berupa interpretasi, komparasi, kesinambungan historis, heuristika, dan deskripsi. Penelitian menghasilkan tiga kesimpulan utama, yaitu: 1) objek di dalam teori intensionalitas Husserlian memiliki status ontologis yang transenden dan independen dari kesadaran; dan 2) karena transendensinya dari kesadaran, objek selalu hanya bisa dipahami secara parsial; sehingga 3) teori intensionalitas Husserlian dapat dikategorikan sebagai realisme perspektival.

This research aims to reconstruct Edmund Husserl's theory of intentionality in the metaphysical debates between realism and antirealism. The ultimate goal of this research, therefore, is to discover the ontological status of the object of consciousness in intentional acts. The attempt to discover the ontological status of the object in Husserl's theory of intentionality is triggered by an attempt to get rid of the Husserlian legacy of phenomenology from contemporary philosophical discourse. It is considered as an antirealist method of philosophy which gave birth to solipsistic thoughts of philosophy. This research argues the opposite that Husserl's theory of intentionality has a realist commitment and is not solipsistic. This research uses philosopher factual-historical research model. The subject matter of this research is Edmund Husserl's thought, while its point of view is the problem of the ontological status of the object in metaphysical discourse. This research has four steps i.e., inventory, classification, analysis and results compilation proceed with several philosophical methods such as interpretation, comparison, historical continuity, heuristic, and description. This research demonstrates three main conclusions: 1) object in Husserlian theory of intentionality has an ontological status that is transcendent and independent of consciousness; and 2) because of its transcendence of consciousness, the object can only be partially understood; so that 3) Husserlian theory of intentionality can be categorized as perspectival realism.
