HUBUNGAN ANTARA KADAR TIMBAL (Pb) DALAM DARAH DENGAN KADAR HEMOGLOBIN (Hb) PADA TUKANG BECAK DI KOTA SURABAYA

2015 | Tesis | S2 Ilmu Kesehatan MasyarakatLatar Belakang: Anemia masih menjadi masalah kesehatan di Indonesia. Selama ini anemia cenderung terkenal dengan sebab kurangnya asupan zat gizi. Padahal faktor penyebab anemia bukan hanya makanan, tetapi bisa juga karena timbal yang berasal dari emisi kendaraan bermotor. Timbal (Pb) yang masuk tubuh melalui saluran pernapasan dan selanjutnya masuk sirkulasi darah dapat menyebabkan anemia. Tukang becak beresiko tinggi terpapar timbal (Pb) dan mengalami anemia karena Pb. Tujuan Penelitian: Untuk mengetahui mengetahui hubungan antara kadar timbal (Pb) dalam darah dengan kadar hemoglobin (Hb) darah pada tukang becak di Kota Surabaya. Metode Penelitian: Jenis penelitian ini adalah analitik observasional dengan rancangan cross sectional. Pencuplikan subjek penelitian dilakukan dengan metode purposive sampling. Penelitian dilakukan mulai April 2014 sampai Juni 2014. Subjek penelitian adalah tukang becak di Surabaya. Hubungan antara kadar timbal (Pb) dalam darah dengan kadar hemoglobin (Hb) dianalisis menggunakan uji korelasi Spearman. Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara kadar Pb darah dengan kadar Hb yang secara statistik bermakna (p=0,0293). Arah hubungannya adalah negatif, yaitu apabila kadar Pb meningkat, maka kadar Hb menurun. Besarnya hubungan, secara statistik termasuk lemah (r= -0,2864). Kesimpulan: Terdapat hubungan antara kadar timbal (Pb) dalam darah dengan kadar hemoglobin (Hb) pada Tukang Becak di Kota Surabaya.
Background: Anemia is still a health problem in Indonesia. All this time, anaemia is famous with caused by lack of nutrient intake. Whereas, anemia is not only because of the food, but also lead from motor vehicle emissions. Lead that enter to the body by inhalation and then enter to blood circulation can cause anemia. Pedicab drivers in Surabaya have high risk to lead exposure and anemic because of lead. Objective: to detect the correlation between blood lead level and haemoglobin level at pedicab drivers in Surabaya Method: A cross-sectional study was done from April 2014 to June 2014. The sample of this research was done by purposive sampling. The subjects were pedicab drivers in Surabaya. Blood lead level were measured by Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS) method. Hemoglobin level were measured by cyanmethemoglobin method. Blood lead level and haemoglobin level correlation was determined by Spearman correlation test. Result: The results showed that there is correlation between blood lead level and hemoglobin level (p=0,0293). The correlate direction is negatif wich is hemoglobin levels decreases if blood lead levels increases. The correlation is weak statistically (r= -0,2864). Conclusion: There is correlation between blood lead level and hemoglobin level at Pedicab Drivers in Surabaya
